You can think and say what you want about Thailand's president but the following story sounds a little bit wrong or at least unusual to me.
The Thai president has been forced to resign from office for hosting a cooking show on TV. His actions have been rule unconstitutional by 9 courts. The hosting act is considered a second job which is clearly forbidden by the constitution.
Seems like the legal argument is right but it's kind of strange. What do you think?

If having a second job is clearly forbidden by the constitution then he shouldn't have been hosting a cooking show. It certainly is a strange situation but I would imagine that the Thai people have the right to have their president focus 100% on his job as leader of their country.

I think someone in Thai's courts wants to be rid of the president. Maybe it is a silent coup in progress. However, if their constutition forbids the president from having a second job, he is bound by that law. If he had only appeared on a cooking show rather than hosting one, perhaps the courts would have to relent, but that wasn't the case evidently.

Do you think he was working to "make ends meet"? Maybe they should have given him a pay increase. I couldn't imagine Bush doing a cooking show, but I also have a hard time believing he could follow a recipe.
