Isn't it amazing how the weather can affect the body? The weather here where I live is gray and cloudy for we are expecting rain and it has me feeling so drained. Even my son was complaining this morning when I woke him for school, asking " it's time to get up already!? I hate school!" But he really doesn't hate school, it's just that the weather has everyone feeling out of it today. I believe that is why there are a lot of depressed people in the winter time.
Does cloudy/rainy weather dampen your spirits?

Hi Linda4ualways,
The weather here has been so awful it has been raining all the time, it did stop for couple days and now it started again, we didn't get that much summer either and I know people has been feeling very depressed but the only way to get out of this depression is just look at mother nature, we need rain for our plants and trees and when there is no rain they need to survive also we need water to live and have to depend on the rain. On a cloudy evening you can cuddle up with a good book and lose yourself in the story and before long you will forget all about the gloomy weather.

Tamarafireheart I like the way you put that. Thank you for making me remember that rain is our friend and not our foe. Take care and God Bless!

It is cloudy and cold here today. I makes me feel a little lazy. I can tell fall is moving in. The 7 day forcast here says the high of the week is 84. Its crazy how fast weather changes. Just a couple weeks ago it was almost a 100 degrees!

Hi Linda, I know how you feel, it is supposed to be summer here in the UK but it has just been rain rain and more rain, I don't mind it but it has been continual for days and this morning when I undrew the curtains it was so dark still that I had to turn lights on. As you know I am a very positive person but all I have wanted to do today is curl up and go to sleep. I think everyone suffers from mild SAD due to the lack of sunshine and winter months I do tend to snuggle indoors as much as possible. Huggles. Ellie :D

I definitely know how you feel. I have a tendency to feel more down when the sky is overcast or if it is raining. It does something to a person. It seems that when the sun is out I feel more lively and happy.
Brighter days I believe are actually supposed to make you feel better and is good for you.

Spring/Summer are my favorite seasons for that exact same reason. I'm awake and alive because of the sun and the warmth of the season. The cold just makes me want to bawl up somewhere but we do need the rain. Thanks for responding and God Bless!

Yes, it affects our mood and body conditions thus affecting
our over all spirits.
A nice weather in the morning is good.
If it is raining, then it is difficult to get up from bed, but if it is a nice weather, then you have a good condition to get up.

Like everyone else, I find myself to be less motivated to do anything on a dreary cloudy day. The one positive that does come on a day like that is that I would rather just stay in bed and snuggle up to a nice warm body and stay there all day. Now if only someone would bring me coffee at the right intervals, all day long.

I'm 53, so it's a matter of humidity and pressure on bones that seem
to make my days a bit slow...( arthur or one of those rightis dudes)
A rainy day is wonderful to me. I like to watch storms and almost feel
some kind of "shock" when it's lightening! Depressed is a feeling that
I choose to never allow to bother me again.
Just remember, the sun will shine again! Smile and make your own sunshine!

Hi Linda, Yes rainy cloud grey days do make me feel tired and
depressed and being that I live about 15 minutes from where
you live I am experiencing the exact same weather as you
are!lol But pretty soon we will be having some really cold
and nastier weather so I don't want this weather to get me
too depressed when I know what's just around the corner!

Indeed, the weather is plays a major factor in your mood. As for me when it's rainy and cloudy it's the perfect time for relaxing and resting. For doing nothing but watch T.V or just sleep all day long xD.
I kind of hate a bit summer tho because it's so damn hot and you sweat alot, and where I live, even at night it's very hot, you need to sleep without clothes literally and all windows open x_x

It really does ruin my mood when it gets cloudy and rainy. We had to deal with here the last couple days, it was just raining and pouring so awfully. The weather affects my body to point where my joints get achy and I feel like I am getting sick. I have been feeling icky all day because the weather is cooler. I miss the hot weather in Chicago right now and don't look forward to winter here.

Rainy days and Mondays always gets me down. No its not a song, its basically true to my part. During rainy days, not only that if affects the mood of my spirits but it also is a bad day for me cause I'm always late for work because its hard to get to a the bus station because of the lots of falling debris on the way.
