Well i think its a true story!

When it was release everybody here in India were gossiping about this movie. My friends were saying that it is a true movie. The concept and the story is based on real theme. When I saw this movie, I was amazed to feel the reality. I found it so true. Well, all I can say is this movie is based on true story. We have got many prove on internet. You can search there browing internet the prove of movie 300.

iirc it's based on (or more likely inspired by) a comic book (by Frank Miller I think?) which was in turn inspired by historical events

I love how people say "show me proof". We are all on the same internet, do your own research.

It's based on a true event that happened long ago. However the movie did not really reflect the true historical event. Afterall this is just a Hollywood movie. You can search "The Battle Of Thermopylae" in youtube.com for the true events that actually happened. Don't take the movie '300' too seriously, it's just a movie.

Some of my friends told me yes, 3000 was based on the true story... But some say that it was just creation of the creator's imagination... But if you search on the search engines, some website will tell you that 300 was based on the true story...
