I am being Harrass on the internet!

If you have nothing to hide and really feel physically threatened. You can report them to the police. Of course you must be able to prove that it is a real threat of harassment and not just that you have an over active imagination. I am sure you know by now that on the Internet everyone is fair game and you leave yourself open to any kind of predators.

OMG! That's horrible, and scary too. Blackmail is serious business to say the least and the police need to hear about this so you can be protected and that it will be on file there (in case anything further happens). If it was me, I'd make a print of the email you received (with the 'full header' option) and take it to my local police department. When you choose the 'full header' option of the letter before printing it out, the police will have the person's computer id. From there they can tell where the letter originated from, who their internet service provider is, and from there it can lead to the actual person and their computer. (Vital info for the police so they can do something about it.) Blackmail is blackmail, whether it's in person, by mail, or via the computer. They should be able to do something about it and help you. At the very least, they should be able to tell you exactly how to handle this. How absolutely horrible for you to have to go through this. Blessings and good luck. OMG!! honey i am so sorry to hear what is happening to you. they can only blackmail you if they have something over your head. and i would suggest if that is the case, you come clean to whoever you need to come clean too so they can take their power away! I would report them to mylot and let mylot know what is going on. please don't give anyone the power of you by feeling blue, or evening thinking about leaving.

I am sorry to hear this, and you do not know who it is? You will have to try and think of who you have given your email address too I guess. I have never had this happen to me so I do not know what I would do, I guess the same as you put them in my spam, I wonder if you can report it somehow. I hope that you manage to sort this out, I can imagine it is really upsetting.

When reading this discusson, i feel scared. I can't believe lots of people really doing that. What's their intension then? And they are on mylot? You better to report them to administrator. HOpe you can get rid of them and have a peace of mind and never bothered anymore.Happy myloting!

If it was me, I would have figured out a way to trap them somehow. Get their name, etc. and report them to their ISP and your local authorities as well. People like this are Sick, and just asking for trouble. Seriously, I hope for your sake, they are not a member of myLot, as there is no real way to Block anyone here. But I am wishing you the Best, and hope somehow you can find out who is doing this, and they have to pay for this as well.

This is a threat and they will follow the emails by there ip addresses and will put an end to it, they will go to there home and take there computer for it is a personal threat and they take that very serious,why I know my best friend just had the same thing happen but not on mylot another network site and yes they found the person and he was brought up on charges and they took his computer and he will not get it back.

Thats terrible and oh so frightening. How did he manage to get your family members involved? Did you give him their email addy or phone numbers? He should be ashamed of himself. When I first read your post I figured he was from Nigeria because I hear about those Nigerian scams and those people can threaten your life if you don't give them what they want. Now it's being done from India? What country is next?

You must be a special person to have this happen to you? Why? Because this person clearly wants to be like you. You see, people who behave like this are jealous, but instead of just getting on with their own life, they have to interfere as much as they can in the lives of those they are jealous of. I know it is annoying having to deal with the rubbish that comes with all the harassment, but it really is a compliment if you stop to think about it.

If you are seriously being harrassed on here then you take it up with My Lot immediately. You shouldn't stand for anything like that, no one should. If you are unhappy here and you are not willing to expose them then there's nothing else you can do. The only thing you can really do is leave but why should you do that? well.. ive been on quite a few websites where there was forums n people tryin to mess with people.. those type just have nothin better to do then try to mess with someone on the internet cuz they are clearly not happy with their own life.. just ignore it.. all u have to worry bout is yourself and the people u care about n care about u.. sticks n stones break bones but words will never hurt me.. its simple and really old but basically raps up this situation ahah

Stop being a victim. I would contact the mylot administration and the police. Do keep a copy of your emails / postings. These may be a proof. Give a warning to your blackmailers. If they continue to contact you I would proceed if i was instead of you.

Blackmail is a federal offense, if you feel they are serious you should call the police and file charges. If you have the emails where they have threatened you give them to the police, I hope you have saved the stuff, if not do so in the future. Blessings Marilyn

If they are black mailing it is really serious. The height they have reached to involve your family members. Is there protection under law of the local administration. Take some remedial measure.

Well, was it just for fun? or you got that mail which was meant for someone else? Blackmailing you means they have your name? Family members involved? Oh my God, thats very shocking. You must think very carefully and perform more carefully, never risk your family, whatever may happen. Don't you have others to take help of? Get help from as much people possible, but remember to perform carefully.
