do you listen to music at work?

i find that when i am working that listening to music really helps me get through my day a lot better because honestly it isn't as tense or something...i really love to listen to music so i will just plug it in and listen to it and it seems to really help me but some people say that they can't seem to concentrate when they are listening to music so they don't like to listen to music while they are at work but its better for me to be able to...so what about all of you, do you like to listen to music when you are at work? thanks for taking the time out of your day to read and review my discussion and hopefully answer it as well, i hope that you all have had a great day so far and that you continue to have a great day...thanks again for taking the time!

Yes I do. My work is just sitting and waiting for customer. It really makes me bored waiting whole day for customer. So i play music and listen it. It really passed my whole day at work. when customer enters to office, i just reduce volume. Some customer also prefer listening music. So I do.........

I work cleaning houses and yes, as soon as I walk into the house the first thing I do
is turn on the radio. I can't work without some noise. If there is no radio, which some
of my clients don't have one, I will turn on the TV. I have to have something to listen
to or I can't get into it.
I used to carry my ipod with me but then I ended up dropping it in someones toilet
while I was leaning over it cleaning it, and it never worked again after that. I need
to go buy a new one but I don't think I will be taking it to work with me again.

Hi there!
I like listening to music also especially when I am mylotting. I am more alive responding while listening to music. It doesn't distract me also while thinking of a good response. But there are times when I feel like I need some quiet time too. Especially when I like to rest from mylot.

I have to listen to music at work otherwise I wouldn't make it through the day. I work in a really intense atmosphere and the music has a calming effect on me as well as allowing me to concintrate

yeah i do. when i feel that i am bored with my work i start listening music on my pc. i really love to listen music it helps me a lot. whenever i am in stressful situation i prefer to listen to music or can watch some movie. usually i listen latest music. my favorite singer is KK and sonu nigam. i also like to listen enrique, pussycat dolls and avril lavigne.

Hi jhl930, We all like music and so do I. My work is whole day on computer and so I can hear music whole day if I want, but the problem is that since I am at the reception, there is lot of noise whole day also there is continuous incoming calls, which disturbs a lot and since I have to concentrate on my work all the time, I cannot enjoy music....so now I just get into youtube when ever I am free, I enjoy few songs and then switch back to work.....and I am quiet happy this way.....Nice musical discussion........have a nice day.

music can relax and ease my stress, itcan also change my mood.. so its important for me to listen to music.. it can help me work fast, and work in concentration, and make my mind full of ideas..

Yes, its like a companion while working alone, it won't let me get bored, its treat to your senses while your brain is working, ahhh what a soothing sensation, I can feel it while thinking, but sometimes it becomes annoying, unless I play it, if others play i may get irritated, because my choice is very different.

i also love to listen to some beautiful musics not only in my relaxation but also working, not like others, i can concentrate if l can listen to some musics which i enjoy, if there are no delicious musics when working ,i will feel tired and have no interested to do everything.

I prefer to listen to pop music in the background while working on the computer. It makes my life more brighter. Music calms me down when I get nervous

yes.. not of my choice though but our of our team leader who would always start the day with a loud music on his station.. that's fine with me.. doesnt really bother me with my work!hehehe

I do but not all the time. Listening to music helps me to relax and to get more focused with work. Also I listen to music too when I take naps during lunch breaks.

I do listen to music at work. I either bootup my computer and listen to my library of music, or pandora.com to hear something new. Sometimes I turn on the radio but it rarely comes in clearly (we have an old stereo). I am an in home senior care provider and a full time mom. Music really helps the cleaning go faster and keeps me in an upbeat mood.
