what is the best hair treatment available?

I just had a trip to the salon and had my hair trimmed and rebonded (super straight). The hair stylist advised me to constantly apply treatments on my hair to avoid damage. I have a pretty long hair (typical asian hair) and I dont want it to get brittle or damaged. What can you suggest? Do you any treatments available in the market?
