Ever wish you had a rewind button for life?

We've all said those things that we wanted to take back the second they came out of our mouths.
While I've always practiced living in the moment and enjoying the odd things life sends me to learn from, I'm thinking I wouldn't mind a rewind button for a recent timeframe in my life.
If you could, right now, rewind your life would you do it? How far back would you need to go? If you are feeling like sharing today..... what would you hope to 'undo'?

We all say it at least I do but thinking about it no wouldnt change a thing. I now have many things to share that could really help other people. Its all part of Gods plan I guess. Some of us need to go through what we did mostly to learn a valuable lesson. Some dont make it thats why they need the ones who have to be around to give them advice and words of encouragement. They need someone to relate to them. It makes it so much easier

there are those times when i feel really bad and would just want to make things right. but then i realized that after those difficult obstacles that i had to go through, i feel better as a person. i woudn't regret for anything that has happened so i'd probably just ignore that rewind button.

Yes, in reality I would just ignore it too. I like the character I have developed through my life's trials.

There have been so many times I've wished I could just rewind time a few hours at least. Most of the time it has to do with something I said. Maybe I thought it was something completely innocent, but the person I said it to didn't take it that way. So there are moments I'd like a do over. But if I had rewind a long period of time, I'd rather just stay in the present. Over a long period of time I've come too far to go back. I don't want to relive too much because it was hard enough going through it all the first time around.

I know what you mean. The more I think about this discussion the more I know I would only really like to have it to rewind over hurtful things I have said.

What a lovely question makingpots.I do wish for it so many times. It is because I would love to go back to my childhood days when one is so carefree. No pressure of advanced studies and good job.

Yes I really wish I had the rewind button for my life, like the one which prince of persia has, it would be really nice specially for me who wants to resolve past bad thoughts and convert them into all time good ones.
Also we would have understood life by now, hope we could go back and correct it.

I would rewind to my college life too, just to relive it. I had such a fun time.

Yes, I really like that, really wished to have a rewind button in my life particularly on the times that I did something and then regret it. Actually, I don't know as of now on how far back I would want to go, I don't have a particular event that I want to undo now, I can't think of something at this time. But I wouldn't really mind to have a rewind button, I think I would need it for being tactless sometimes and easily get angry, in that way, when I said something or did a thing that I truly regret it at the end, at least I can undo it anytime.

My button would get the most use over going back and undoing something I said. Lol.

What to say about myself but every body when all alone in calm without disturbance sit and think back on life and then compare that and now. Goods and bad are the past of life we live. We can just have a view the hardest things we passed and we achieved our present. There is no question to undo what we had not intentionally. If you had done some thing so wrong for others only to repent. I am happy I have received the fruit of my hard life.

Really, I'd have to undo my entire life and start over!! However, I wouldn't if I could because I am who I am today because of the events that have happened in my life. I have grown stronger and more accepting of lifes obsticles and wouldn't change my life if i could. I'm me-deal with it or get lost! (thats not directed at you - just my moto!)

Oh, if only. I would "rewind" my life to that event/mistake/bad decision in my life (but I still haven't figured out what it really is) that snowballed into what my life is right now. But then if I do that, I wouldn't have met Boyfriend that makes me very happy.

I would like to undo a lot of things in my life. Like getting married to a man that ended up to be nothing to it in the long run. Do to the fact that not even being married to him for 4 months he started cheateing in me. I wish I could have seen into the future before I have even married him. Then a lot of other things that have happened in my life like being diagnosed with ms. I wish i wouold have knew I had it a long time before I finally got diagnosed. At the same time. i know things could be a lot worser. It's not a illness that kills you or anything. it just cripples you. Then there are some things that I have said and done in the past that I know and realize know was a mistake. I have also heard that everything happens for a reason. I just wish I knew why sometimes though.

I would definitely love to rewind a few hurtful things I may have said or silly mistakes. But I think I would keep some of the big trials and tribulations that are so character building.

Yes I do-- I would take back all the times I argued with my daughter. I would give myself more patience ... I need it to deal with the drama from time to time.
I would also give my Gram a kiss before I walked out of the hospital room- she passed away that night. She was sick and I had a cold so I didn't want to give it to her- Had I known she wouldn't make it through the night- I would have stayed there for hours- just talking!

I sorry about you Gram, KrisNY. I bet she knew you wanted to kiss her since you had the thought but were worried you'd make her sick.
I would love to rewind to ever arguement I've ever had and just keep my mouth shut the second time around. :)

can't handle two typos in such a heartfelt sentence. "I'm sorry about your Gram".
of course you were able to figure out what I meant but it just somehow felt like I should fix that one.

People who value the past, both for its memories and for the wisdom of its experience, tend to understand and appreciate the present more and to have a clearer idea of where they want their own future to go. And minds that spend some time focused on the future usually a clear enough sense of where they are going that they can worry less about it and thus enjoy the present more. There are times where I wish I am still in my student days where there were no worries where my next meal comes from. This is the only time I wish I could administer a rewind button for life.
