yep barney songs run to my ears over and over again but these cute kids really love barney. Ahm, there was one time a news came out that barney was accused of being gay, well there's nothing wrong about that. But that group that made that criticism said that if barney is gay, he might give a bad influence to the kids. Please dont get me wrong here. Im just narrating the said news.
Well, if only barney can have nicer songs then he wouldn't sound that annoying..hehe honestly, i like spongebob more..

What? Barney is deffinately Stinky! Umm. i just dont like his songs that much. They are a pain to listen to when my cuzzins are over, and now here comes Dora for the generation! What the heck?? Like why dont they invent a robot show or something! =D I'd probably watch it! =D

Is this a rant Hatley or are you just being picky? I think it would be preferable for Barney to maybe become extinct on his won like the rest of the dinosaurs rather than have you run him over in a truck! It might be easier to explain this to the kids this way and could add an educational angle to his demise at the same time.....

Hi Hatley! OMG, He's still singing that damn song! My
godchild will be 20 years old October 1st and his mother
used to play that damn tape in the car over and over again
until he fell asleep. I would go home after the weekend was
over and I couldn't get that song out of my head! And when
we were in the house we had to see that damn thing on tv!
He also has the most annoying laugh! I have wanted to kill
him since 20 years ago! And he's still at it today! OMG!
I'm not speaking to my girlfriend anymore I'd remind my
godchild about those days with Barney! That was the most
annoying song of all time for kids and I never understood
how parents could want kids to watch. Maybe it was me???

I can relate. Although, I would say that I probably have heard it alot longer than you, lol. My son, is now 14, he has Cerebral Palsy and we have watched it at least 2 times a day since he was a year old. We try hiding the shows, but he will just keep going and finding them. We have given him his own tv in his room, but he still will bring them back in to our tv, so we can all listen, lol.

The way you feel about Barney is about the way I feel about Blues Clues. Many years ago I was a nanny, and one of the children loved Blues Clues among all else. I heard that so much that I used to hum the theme song when I was at home. Then I even dreamt of Blues Clues! I was being hunted by a child's show!

I have always hated that programme, I had to put up with it with my first born, however when the second one came along I banned it. My third one did not like it anyway and luckily for me neither does my fourth!
My two nieces absolutely loved that dinosaur and I remember we all went out one day as a family and it was to a theme park and my sister in law says to me that we are going to see a show. I thought "cool OK" until we got to the doorway of it and I realised with horror what show it was! I said "I aint going in there to sit and listen to that dinosaur, if I do it will end in tears and they will not be mine!" SO I sat outside in the sunshine and waited for them all to come out!

I would never admit it in front of a small child, it would traumatize them, but yes, I would run over him again and again just to shut him up.. I don't know if anyone remembers the Macarena Monkey that used to sell really well at the local flea markets a few years back, but when we had a booth, the neighboring booth had one of them located right in the very front of their booth.. It was a motion sensor monkey and every time someone walked by his booth, which was hundreds of times a day, we had to listen to "Hey Macarena", over and over and over all day long.. It almost drove us crazy.. Since my son is grown and I have no grandchildren, I guess Barney gets a "pass" from me, I will wait for grandchildren until I run over him with a ten ton truck..

oh whitefeather I had two kids here awhile back with their
version of Ilove you, my son 50 and his pal Mike 51 and with all their gestures and comments you would have sworn they were just about ten. lol. This was one of my sons pet rants when he was growing up, how much he hated Barney and that song. and as I listened to it I got to hate it too. you did not miss a thing, trust me.

My sons are grown, and my granddaughter is not old enough for Barney. I do not like Barney at all, but we had it worse when our sons were small, it was the Flintstones and have you ever heard Wilma's nasal voice? Well I live in Canada and it seems the nasal voice is common up here. It just grates on my nerves and yes if I could, I would run Barney over with the ten ton truck.
