What would it take to sell you on a new program?

Most of us are interested in making money online and I'm sure most of us have seen all the promotions going on. MLM, GPT, PTC, etc. Today I want to focus on the mlm business. Now, I dont do MLM's. I've gotten burned on a few and those have been crossed off my list ages ago. BUT, I do see SO many ads for them on traffic exchanges, in moneymaking forums, etc.
I even get emails about how to get people to buy your products, how to target a market, etc. Sometimes I think these people really don't know what they're talking about. They should come down from their mansions on the hill and talk to the "little" people!
Here's what I'd like to tell some of those "internet guys":
First of all, I HATE those long sales letters! If you want to get my attention, keep it short and sweet.
Secondly, I dont like being led up to the price. Tell me up front, in the beginning...not at the end of a 3 page sales letter. That way, I know whether or not it is in my budget.
Thirdly, dont try to fool me with all those so-called FREE products...I can find the same information on the net myself if I look hard enough. And lastly, but not least, DONT put those popups in your ad. You know, the ones where you beg me to buy your product at a discount price, after I've already decided to close the page. If you can sell it at the discount and still make money, why not offer me that price in the beginning and I MIGHT have bought it. But I'm not gonna buy after you try to drag me back with an annoying popup.
Oh, and one more thing...dont try to make me feel like a moron just because I choose not to buy your product! I am an intelligent individual, whether you think so or not!If you were to decide to invest in one of these programs, what would you look for? what would convince you to buy? Or what would at least make you take a second look.
I'd like to hear YOUR thoughts myLotters.

I want a real company with a real product. That's why I only work with 2 "companies" Notice I said companies not programs, and they are in the supplement and energy drink industry. It's very simple. Here's my product, here's the price, easy to buy. If you want to buy the product because you like it, and want to be my customer that's awesome. The most you would get from me might be a thank you email. If you do want to look at getting into the business, information is easy to find right there on the website, but if you still have questions you can request to be contacted and someone will call you and help you answer your questions. No long sales letters, no "Free" crappy e-book or something else, just the facts. That's what I like.

Thanks for your response! More marketers should be as straightforward!

Thank you. The best part I like about the business that I am in, is that I am a user of the product I sell and I can hand someone a sample and tell them why I like it and the sample will let them decide for themselves without spending a dime, if they want to buy or not. Also I am a firm believer that you have to be your own best customer and believe in the product that you sell. You have to build a relationship first. I get tired of seeing all these "Get Rich Quick" matrix this and matrix that. It's a business, you have to treat it like a business, and it takes time and commitment to build it and you need to work with people that have the same frame of mind. Sorry didn't mean to preach. lol

I feel that way too. That you should believe in the product you are selling or promoting. I do GPT sites, and much to my surprise I'm actually making some money. But like you, i dont promote something that I'm not sure of. i can make a mistake like anyone, but I would never feel comfortable promoting something that I hadnt checked out myself first.
