I have a question. Does anyone know what the average age is for a pomeranian. I have heard quite a few things from the ridiculous, 3 years to 7 years to 10 years. I have two poms, one is 8 and the other is 5. The one that is 8 is showing signs of slowing down and is having medical problems. Does anyone know the average age of poms.

Just don't let him run free (off a leash), spay/neuter you pet (they also live longer this way too).

Most toy dogs has an average lifespan of 10 to 12 years. But there are toy dogs who live more than 14 to 15 years.

I heard that Poms live to be 15 years old. Don't allow your Pom to gain too much weight. We made that mistake and our little Pom passed away from a heart attack at 8 years old. We still miss her and that was more than a year ago.
