Does your heart still melts everytime your husband gives you flowers ?

Yesterday was our 4th year civil weeding anniversary ! We ussually don't celebrate this anniversary instead we celebrate our church wedding anniversary. So yesterday was just another of those ordinary days of my life. but before I went to sleep, i tried to slip a note for him at the bathroom for him to see first thing in the morning ! He went to work very early, and me and my baby was still sleeping. When he went home in the afternoon, he surprised me with a bouquet of flowers and a card !!!! Oh my, it brought me to tears because I was not really expecting anything, and flowers is just my weakness ! And things he wrote in the card just makes me cry even more, of course with happiness. I hug him for a very long time. My heart wants to explode. After that we have dinner at a japanese restaurant, that really makes my day special !

My husband goes to great links to do things that are very meaningful and special to me. My grandfather always come up with perfect gifts for my grandmother on anniversaries, birthdays, mothersday and christmas. The other day I was going through a yellow notepad I have lying around the house. I flipped a couple of pages and found the "rough draft" of a poem he made me for Valentines day last year. My heart warmed instantly and it brought tears to my eyes. A poet he is not but it was just beautiful to me that such a masculine person would put his mind heart and soul on a piece of paper to put a smile on my face. I have always told him it isnt the price of the gift that matters to me but the emotion put into it. These are the kinds of things that makes me forgiving to his stupidity.

I always wish that this kind of things will never change untill such time that we grow old. Just like your grandparents, who never cease to surprise their partners. My husband love to write poems in the cards he gaves me. Yesterday he wrote this...There is a heart that understands what i am dreaming of....and all of these belong to you....the wonderful woman I love. 4 years ago you become my wife, 2 years ago you become a wonderful mother, for me you are always a wonderful woman I love ! I just makes me smile and think that I have made the right decision in marrying ang loving this guy ! I feel guilty, though for not getting anything for him, but a short note. But then, I could always show him everyday how much I love him. Goodluck and GOD Bless !

that was great! and so romantic!! im 27 years of being married and its only once that i had received a flower(and its a rose plant..in a pot) from my hubby and it was on valentines day last 2001..and im wondering what he had committed this time to give me such thing...kidding ok...anyway my hubby is not used of giving flowers but more of giving gifts or chocolates which i really wanted..but still i like the feeling(a little bit)of receiving my flowers...

hahaha...he gave you flowers for the first time and yet you thought that he did something ? I guess some guys are not into flowers, but chocolates and gifts ! I would love to recieved gifts too !!! I guess it does not matter what they get for us as long as they remember special occassions, and never forgets.

Yes!! I still get tingly when he kisses me too. He is still a gentleman (open car doors, pulls the chair out for me, etc...) and very romantic. After our first year people said the romance would die but it's still going strong.
