Don't hate me but I just started reading the Seventh Book the other day. I don't know how I feel about it yet. I am only about 150 pages into it but it seems that there are more details and less action than the other 6 books. Maybe it's just that it's been a while since I read the last one but I don't feel like this one has the same *umph* as the other ones do. Does-did-anyone else feel this way about this book? Or is it just that I'm not far enough into it yet?

Jacki87, I am actually just reading the seventh book for the second time, after having read the entire series again from the beginning. I'm a little farther than you. You're right though, the first part of the book is a little short on action. There is actually a lot of detail that needs to be set up for the end to make sense. But the action starts soon, so don't give up.
I was actually surprised the first time I read the book that JK saved so much for the last book. I thought it would be mainly just the wrap up to all that had gone before, but she actually brings up a whole new element to the story all in one book, namely the deathly hallows. So keep going, you're in for a treat.

it's been awhile already since i read this 7th book but i assure you, the finale release is really good. you still have a long way to go with your reading and the farther you get, the more exciting the story gets. when i read it especially with the chapters going to the ending, you don't want to stop until you get to the very last page.
