Well I am...and I've noticed that it's happening more often. I was heating water for a cup of tea the other day and i forgot about it and left the stove running... i made the same mistake yesterday!!!! My gosh, i could have burned our house down. Have you ever had the same problem? I'm really worried, maybe I'm just getting old. Do I need to take anything? Or eat anything to improve my memory?

Hi, it happened many times with me also. I forgot turning off the stove many times. Once i left the milk vessel on the stove and the milk level came to 1/4 by the time i went to turn off the stove. This is not a problem with your memory or this is not any such kind of a serious problem, it happens with everyone, but see to it that it doesnt happen when you go out, see to it that you turn off the burners and you check if your stove is off while going out, else this might be a problem for you. take care.

Thanks! I know it's common but it still scares me, imagine doing the same mistake 2 days in a row...so annoying! I know there's a vitamin to improve memory i just don't know what it is. Maybe i should do more sudoku to exercise my brain. maybe it'll help a little. hahaha!!!

I have done that so many times. I will bring something to a boil, then put it on simmer, and when it is finished, I will turn it on warm. Serve the meal and forget that the stove is still on. My husband will say are you cooking something, Now the pot is empty, instead of turning the burner off. When I leave the house I always start wondering if I turned the burners off, then I am nervous the whole time I am away. Now I am trying to make sure I check the burners each and everytime I leave the house.
