Who should replace Gloria?

Gloria is doing very bad in the surveys which means a lot of people are very dissatisfied with her in power. I know am. There are so many problems in this country and she can't seem to solve any. I know I want to get Gloria out of the Palace but if is taken out, who is going to replace her? By law, it would be the Vice President, Noli de Castro. Now I wouldn't want that. Personally, I don't have an ideal person in mind but I would like someone who practices governance with great transparency like Naga City Mayor Jesse Robredo or Pampanga Governor Eddie Panlilio. Who do you think would be a good replacement for Gloria?

I think I should. In time. Who knows right? But I think that would actually be difficult if I have to cheat along the way because officials require bribes in order for them to let you in their circle - or what about if I just hire a ninja to get rid of all of them so we can start with a new slate... but that's complicated as well because everybody else would clamor for the power. Hmm.. I still think I should replace Gloria. Thanks for the response on my discussion!

I like that answer! As long as you'd do something for the betterment of this country, unlike the officials that run this country now, you'd be OK for President.

Whoever it is, we hope we will now have a good leader that could really uplift our economy. I think that leader must have the mind like of Marcos and the character of Magsaysay. The country is really facing the peek of its form of governance. I don't know what make her run for the position knowing she's incapable of carrying the task of a president, not even serving a good example. I remember one time during her latest SONA, she stated there that she ask the telecommunications network companies to lower the cost of text messages from P1 to P0.50 cents per SMS, cause she believes that texting is a way of life. But the truth is, its only under a promotion. What is she up to? Even simple things she can't even make a change.

That's only one of those filthy promises in their political platforms. You might say I'm not patriotic but I'm happy I haven't get to contribute my vote to the unworthy ones. I didn't even vote to be fair to both. I maybe selfish, but they're selfish too. Golden rule really applies.

I like that. The mind of Marcos and the character of Magsaysay. Most politicians have a way of trying to win the people's support by bringing up things that people use everyday. They'll say they'll lower taxes, raise wages, lower the cost of text messaging, etc. They might even do it for a while. Then, after a while, things just go back to normal. I think all they're trying to do is look good so that they will get re-elected.

Yeah same question lingers in my mind too who to replace her. At the moment there is really none and the person you mention are indeed very good people that I think would not be able to stand in that position that long since the people under would and could easily make this person look bad easily because they are very good and honest in the performance of their duty as government official. You can just look at Ed Panlilio he looks really bad in the eyes of his constituents but politicians around him just don't agree with it. I am sad that we still that crab mentality of pulling the ones on top if we see them doing the right thing.

honestly dude, nobody's fit to be president here in our country. they are all the same. you know there are people under the table who controls Gloria. there is always a connection with everyone especially people with power that financed or helped her to reach her position. in our language, "kumpadre system" and "utang na loob". people use them as an investment in the future. its really hard to decide whether who should be president or actually really change the system. its all about the money dude, and its sad.

That's true. It's always about the money. What if we had leader that was so rich that he/she doesn't need money because he/she has so much of it already? Would he/she still be corrupt?

I hate talking and debating about politics. I have studied laws as part of my subject back in College. However, I can't help not to respond to this. Gloria is the worst president ever to rule the country. Look how terrible the country is now! So much of the ZTE, the Fertilizer scam, the Garci tape. People had enough of her worthless rules! She's really ]small but terrible. For the Presidential election, perhaps by next year, I'd pick Mar Roxas, or MMDA Bayani to rule the country (if either of them will be a candidate). They've done enough for the country and people trust them (except for the sidevendors, talking about MMDA Bayani..Lol), and I know they could do more. So much about politics, it's just getting worse these days...

Honestly at this moment I couldn't make a confident choice of who will replace GMA. Everyone seems to be a potential corrupt official. And I think she won't be taken out of her position you know why? She's too proud and stubborn. I think she already dump all her conscience in her huge mole. I don't know if she can still sleep at night. Anyways back to the question of who will replace her But if I will, I could put ping lacson or Chiz Escudero. Why ping? Maybe I can see some discipline in him, I think one thing that could improve if ping replaced GMA is the crime rate would decrease dramatically. But i think one angle that raised doubt about him is his voilent enforcement image. And why Chiz? It is no question that this guy is a political genius. He knows what he's saying and he knows what he's doing. It would be safe to say that it's hard to win a political debate with him, and one good reason would be his unblemished credibility. But maybe the only doubt so far to him is his experience in the public service, I think he's just 8 years in the government field right? I hope there would be a positive change who ever wins the next election

With Ping, I'm not sure about his methods of discipline. Rumors have it that he's a brutal cop. Chiz actually sounds like a good guy but I don't really know much about him.

honestly my head is aching right now because i cannot think of anyone capable of running this country...and i really do not understand why they keep on pushing erap into our face?is that an insult to the filipino people?and whoever will be in the position by 2010 he should have the strength and super powers of superman to take our nation afloat...wow that is such a huge responsibility if your true intention is to really serve the people and to better our situation but them if he/she is just sitting in that position to fatten and make himself a pig then we have no hope but do something for ourselves...we should start doing something for ourselves and not rely on our useless government.

To be honest,i dont know who is the best man to replace Arroyo.Every presidentiables are making their images clean and good, but they are all the same. For me GMA is doing the right way, if not good.Though some are not satisfied to her style.I agree that its really hard to run the goverment like ours because it was already tainted with corruption and lots of scandal. We just hope and pray that whoever be our next president can atleast minimize if not eradicate the corruption and poverty in our beloved country. There are a lot of inspiring candidates in 2010 all of the are capable of running the goverment, the question is are they really run for the betterment of our counrty or they run for personal gain and self interest?

Honestly who ever will be running for president and replace Gloria would be a corrupt official...Sad but true. For almost every election a lot of this politicians promises something and then later on when they are elected they didnt even do much for our country. All they care about is there own welfare. They dont run for a position in the government to help our country. They run a position in the government to protect their own business and to make themselves rich. I am sick and tired of our system and honestly it takes a lot of sincere and honest politicians to do that. No matter what we will do we cant deny the fact that a lot of corrupt officials are still working in the government. Wither it is opposition or part of the administration. Change the system and for each one of us to do there share too is what it takes to make the country a better nation. If we will depend on our government then all of us will starved. We cant depend on the government at all and that is the truth. If there is someone we should rely on it should be ourselves. If we expect the government to boost our economy as what china did. Then we are living in an illusion...because for as long as those traditional politicians are there. We cant expect our economy to become stable.
