That is hard to answer. The school district we left was suppose to be one of the best int he area, the teachers were okay, curriculum just barely covered the LEAP test, but they upgraded the entire school system with high end technology, to the point where the kids are not using paper at all.
The new system we are in is a lot better. They are as high tech, but the teachers are young, there is a strong curriculum and each classroom has 5 computers (mix of Mac & PC) and they are in the process of building a computer lab. There are only about 500 kids in the school so they can easily give each class a set amount of time there per week.
So some schools are getting better, some are getting worse other are becoming stagnant. All depends on the school you are in. Overall for the entire metro area and beyond, I would say the schools here are stagnant. Many are still back in the old day with zero technology because the districts can not afford it. Any school that is severely low tech is a bad school to me.

I think schools always give good effect to the student. Because in school we learn anything that haven't know before. But the enviroment and association that made in school will give a good and bad effect. It also depend with the students, are they will follow the right one or maybe become the naughty student.
Today school in my place is very worse with the subject and the teacher. I don't know how they hire a student that just two years graduate from high school to teach the student. So I think the teacher isn't make the student scare.

I think they're getting worse. Major schools are just teaching children how to take the major tests thanks for No Child Left Behind. So, instead of the children actually learning something and enjoying what they're being taught, they're forced to take tests and learn how to take tests. How is that a good thing? It's not. Schools that need the most help are losing funding because of No Child Left Behind. It's good on paper but it's a terrible program, terribly executed.
Also, children are being taught harder things at harder ages. Some kids don't want to go to school because it's not fun. Children are having breakdowns in first grade because they're just not measuring up to what the schools are forcing on them. They're not allowed to be kids anymore. They're turning into mini robots that are going to hate learning and will never want to become life long learners.
