Green Day's Evolution

Hey everyone! I just wanted a quick survey on Green Day's music. I wanted to know if people liked Green Day's music before they became a rock band (like Time of Your Life and When September Ends) or do you like Green Day after they became rockers? (like Holiday and American Idiot) This is my 1st post so if you have any suggestions, please post some, if that is possible.

GREEN DAY ARE MY LIFE
i liked their album American Idiot, but when i started hearing olden day ones i thought they sounded much better and wondered why they changed theme. i loved them then and still love them. shame they have broken up :(
my favourites from american idiot have to be Wake Me Up When September Ends, She, St. Jimmy, and Holiday
the olden day ones have to be Hitchin A Ride, One Of My Lies, Poprocks And Coke, Give Me Novacaine, One For The Razorbacks And MORE! I could be here forever as i have over 60 songs from them lol
