My laptop's been stolen. A bit of stupidity on my part, though...

Like I said, my beloved laptop, which served me well for the past 4 years or so, was stolen yesterday, while I was out in a shopping mall. Shouldn't have parked out in the open, to begin with. That's my fault.
In the space of two hours, between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. Malaysian time, someone managed to break the rear left windshield and grab my laptop bag, with my laptop, portable hard drive, and thumb-drives all inside.
It may be very unlikely that I'll see them again, but if I ever manage to catch the culprit, I might consider murdering him / her slowly. Thievery is no longer a petty crime, it's a downright disturbance of the peace. And according to religious details, for those that disturb the peace, you either execute them, or have them exiled to someplace distant.
Even though I've lost about four years of memories and data within that laptop, I think that dispensing justice will be more appropriate to ensure that the perpetrator does not get to steal again from anyone else. Even if it takes me a lifetime, that guy will surely be punished eventually, I'm sure.
