For me, trust is like the confidence of baby who is being thrown in the air and still smiling....for he knows there's someone to catch him... That's what trust means to me.

To me the word 'trust' means our reliance on the integrity, ability or character of a particular person. It means a kind of commitment between two persons. Trusting others help us move ahead in our life and it help us in planning our future commitments. As per my opinion - when we place our 'confidence' on someone for any matter, we say that we trust him/her. When we start relying on anybody (may be blindly) we say that we trust him/her.

I agree with you that when we trust someone we plan a lot of our future commitments based on that trust. I could not have explained things better than you have done here.

Trust may be differnt to many but to me trust is confidence on myself, on other person and on the relation that whenever needed, i will not be turned down. but its not like Faith as Faith is more stronger word and Faith is accepting with out seeing, without testing But trust need times, its based on relation and experience, it grow with time Take care

u r right when its faith, its un conditional obeyance and trsut is their but in case of trust its not necessary that faith should be there, thats why i said Faith is more stronger word Take care

Trust means everything to me. Especially from the people I care about. Its of utmost importance to me that people I care about trusts me and I trust them as well. Actually that trust thing is kind of automatic for me. When I care about a person even if its not deep, trust will be there to accompany it. Its sort of the thing that binds me to people. Even if they hurt me or something like that if I still trust them then they'll know that Ill be here for them no matter what. But once that trust is gone, maybe something drastic happened that the person completely lost my trust in him/her then he/she will never hear from me again. Well, maybe thats an exaggeration since I will still talk to them but its just in a civil way and not the 'you're one of those who are in my heart, so I care about you' way. Guess in my case, trust is easily gained and quite hard to lose but once its lost, its gone forever..

Like you I too wish I could be uncivil and just stop talking to the person who has betrayed my trust. But I think we just cannot do that. We have to pretend to be friends. I agree that trust once lost is gone forever.

There are times when people whom you dont trust cross your path everyday and you have to communicate with them. Because of decency we cannot avoid them. At such times it is very difficult to maintain a cordial relationship.

Yeah, as humans we just couldnt avoid talking to people, even if they're those that we dont like/trust. We can try to avoid them but sooner or later its necessary to talk to them. Glad that you agree with me. Thanks.^_^

You have covered all the definitions and meaning of trust. When it comes down to love and relationship then it also implies being unconditional in a way. Further it has to be both ways, i'e to trust and be trusted.

In any sort of relationship whether it is personal or business trust is the most important thing in the world, it is awful when you doubt someone because once you start you begin to doubt everything they say and do...

I dont trust humans , i never gained anything from trusting humans .It is not only happening with me , but with 99% of people , 1 percent is always an exceptional . When we trust any people they will just show their true color when we are in need and they will just leave us back they never think of friendship or any relationship they are in with us.. for me TRUST should be put in GOD and rely on HIM alone

You have to trust your parents and siblings. When you get into a relationship or friendship you have to trust your partner. Without trust we just cannot survive. Of course there are people who we meet in life who will betray us but that does not mean we stop trusting everybody.

Trust is something which ensures that apersonal or business relationship is going to continue. it is something based on which you can rely on the person or organization. it is most important in any relationship. once trust lost, everything is lost.

Whether in a family, friendship or business I think trust should always be there or else there is no base for the relationship.

Yes what you say is right. We do not need people in our lives who cannot be trusted. Its best that we are far away from them.

trust? as what i have read in your postings, i finally found the right explaination for it to apply in my life and relationship.. "trust is the most important foundation of any relationship whether its business or love, family or friendship.. it always goes on with love and care.." if you trust someone, you are giving him/her the most important role in your relationship. and as the one who trusts, you should guide that person in order for her to give importance of that trust you relied on him/her.

Trust as you say has to be in every relationship. There can be no relationship without trust. But one should always make sure you do not break anyones trust.

trust is something that make others want to believe in you. having the trust of someone make them understand you better. and they would also open up their problems to you. therefore, trust is needed to maintain any relationship. between friends or family. a relationship with no trust will never work out.

Trust should be mutual. I agree that no relationship can ever be stable without faith and trust. Trust helps a relationship grow.

I would like to add that trust is also a foundation for any human relationship. Without it it can't bind two people into a relationship. For me if a relationship isn't built on trust it would easily be destroyed. For me if you want a relationship to last you should really trust the other person.
