Its plain and simple, are you addicted to information technology?
Everything we use now are linked some what or another to IT. We shop over the internet, play on the PCs, link ourselves 24 hours to our offices and simply put it we uses IT to make our lives easier and more productive. However, we have relied on IT so much that without it, the world does not move. Take an example, without computers and networks NASDAQ cannot operate as their information is send across the internet for live updates.
How will you live without IT now? I cannot live without IT because everything i do depends on it, socializing, studying, playing and working.
Question is how this addiction for technology grow so fast that in only 10 years since the internet boom the majority of our world relies so heavily on it, this have never happened even in the between the 4000 years of human history and what are the consequences to it?

because I spend all week at work using technology I tend to avoid it in my own free time if I can. I am usually to be found in the countryside or working in my own garden. The other interest I have is playing musical instruments so again no technology involved there either.
I just think it is wonderful to appreciate the gifts that nature has given us and that are all around us and very under appreciated.

I hate the way we've gone and hate having to use it but if you do not, then you lose out on a lot of opportunities. I hope in retirement, I can reduce how much "technology" I am dependent on.
