Is pasta Halal?

t may seem like a silly question to some of you but I am unsure if it is Halal or not. We have a guest for tea and I wanted to make a pasta dish but as they are Muslim their food will need to be Halal and I can not find out if pasta is or isn't Halal?

As long as pork or pork oil is not used in the cooking is Halal. I believe in most pasta restaurants they will have these "Halal" sign to indicate that their food is halal.
By the way I do have malay friends who eat pork stuffs such as pork chop etc. Modern malays you can say~
