I'm 45 and still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. I just lost my job so I need to decide fast. How does one know?

I like your title to your discussion! I am sorry you lost your job, I guess you need to think about your qualities and talents and what you really enjoy doing. I always thinks it makes more difference when you actually do a job you enjoy rather than for the money, I know money is important but happiness should be equally as important. Have you any urge or any dream or a hobby that you could turn into work? What drives you, what are your interests. By writing it down you can form a clearer picture of what you want to do. I hope you find work soon.
