Best hollywood movie

If forced to choose I would definitely go for the Godfather. But there's a glitch in here. I watched the movie after I read the book. A lot of people who haven't read the book find the movie boring, insipid etc... etc... While I have boohooed several godfather haters in the imdb forums, I now have a doubt in m mind. Do I like the godfather more because I knew beforehand what was going on behind the scenes? Did Francis do a good job explaining exactly what was going on through every character's life and mind? Sadly I'll never know. BUt yeah, its very unfair to ask a true movie buff about his favorite movie. We like all well made movie and there is no utopia in filmdom not even citizen kane(which incidentally I haven't watched). [b] Titanic[/b] is my other all time favourite movie.

Gone with the Wind - still the best after all these years!
