. . . do you add anything to it? You know, like cover strawberries with chocolate or dip into the sugar bowl. How about freeze grapes? Make banana shakes? How 'bout marinating pieces of bite-size papaya to some lemon juice and sugar. These are some of my fave things. Mom loves to mix a little bit of sweetened coffee to slices of avacado. Do you have any original fruit creations?

strawberries, strawberries, strawberries - any way and every way but best of all is picked right from the plant and pop em in my mouth. Will admit my grandson has gotten pretty good this year at knowing which ones are ready and which not and always shares his pickings with grandma :) and that makes them the best of all.

I know what you mean about those bright red fresh-from-the-plant strawberries being the best. We were at Disneyland last month and would you believe they are growing them in small gardens around the park. I suspect there were quite a bunch missing. My son almost picked them too. I slapped his hands and he let them be after a good laugh. Ah, my friend, I would love to stroll through that garden of yours.

Mmmmm, peaches and cream. Love it! Avacados with butter on bread . . . not so much. But then again, I do like them on a good burger.

I've always been into apples. And I haven't really been creative with them, lol. I just pick it up and start chewing. When I was younger my mom would cut them up and serve them on a plate with peanut butter on the side. I haven't eaten them that way in years. So maybe I should start again, lol. I've seen people add honey with apples along with bits of granola. That might be awesome.

My favorite fruit has always been strawberries. I don't eat them plain though. I hate the strawberry chocolate combination so i've always eaten them the southern way. My great grandma used to dip them in sour cream then in brown sugar. I know it sounds really disgusting but it is so good! Something about the sweet and tart combination! Try it out before you say no to it, you never know, this southern staple might become your new favorite.

That does sound good. I love brown sugar and though I've never combined it with sour cream I would probably like the sweet and tarty taste. thanks txcheerleadr.

My mom grew up on that stuff in Indonesia. The family had jack fruit trees on their property. I've only ever tasted the canned variety and I still love that. I really would like to try the fresh ones though.

Oh yeah, papaya rules! Never tried the salt and chili sprinkles. I'll have to give it a shot.

I'm not very original when it comes to making fruit creations. I am real simple. Walk by the kitchen table and if there is a banana sitting there, I'll eat it. Don't go out of my way to eat fruit therefore I don't eat enough. I love strawberries and will once in awhile eat strawberry shortcake with loads of whipped cream on top. I've never eaten papaya and really don't care for avacado.

avocado and banana by far are the fruits I eat on any season
avocado I will slice it and spread sugar on it or chocolate syrup
banana is usually as is or make a banana milkshake
when I was younger I was crazy of mango
I used to slice it and dip it in chili sauce or fish sauce
and I would eat just that after school and during school
my mom used to drag me into the dining room and forced me to eat proper lunch

I love strawberries - but not the ones in here - I prefer them and most my fruit with nothing added. Unfortunately, some of the fruit we get in the supermarkets doesn't really taste like anything - at least not compared to what it used to taste in other places .
In any case my preferences go to fruit " au naturell " not even sugar added.
Favorite fruits are strawberries, black berries, pienapple, pears, locquat, oranges... wait I think it's might be simpler to list the ones I don't like LOL I don't really like grapefruit, I'm not too fond of blueberries and that's basically it LOL

My favorite fruit is mango. I like mango shake, dried mango, mango with milk , cake with mango. Everything about Mango. Even ripe mango(green mango), i also love it when I am looking for a sour food. I don't have any fruit creations since I only rely on my mothers recipe.
