There are some great war movies, past and present. Apocalypse Now, The Bridge on the River Kwai, The Deer Hunter, Saving Private Ryan, Full Metal Jacket and The Great Escape are just a few. What are some of your favorites and why do you like them so much?

Well I've enjoyed a lot of the ones you mentioned along with ones such as Braveheart and The Patriot. I also enjoy documentaries on Wars. North and South, Blue and Grey, Glory, Winds of War, War and Rememberence or all good ones as well.
