Funeral costs

where can you get help with the cost of a Funeral..? My friend's mother's Funeral is in November & I'm trying to raise the money to help them pay for the Funeral.

The only thing that I know is that Social Security will pay up to $250.00 towards the cost. I am not sure if she would have had to be on Social Security in order to get this benefit or what.

I have burial insurance, I have always had it, from the time my children were born I put them in a burial insurance, my grandparent who raised me taught me that. I also have myself in a burial insurance.
The only thing I can suggest is a fund raising. People here usually do funds through the local banks. They get permission first.
You see people raising money by selling packed lunches or plates from a BBQ..
It is very kind of you to help your friend.
