Why won't God heal amputees?

If you are an educated christian, I would like to talk to you today about an important and interesting question. Lets apply your critical thinking skills as we discuss 10 simple questions about religion.
Why won't God heal amputees, question # 1) its a simple question, isn't it? we all know that amputated limbs do not spontaneously regenerate in response to prayer. Amputees get no miracles from God.
If you are an intelligent person, you have to admit that its an interesting question. On the one hand, you believe that God answers prayers and performs miracles. On the other hand you know that God completely ignores amputees when they pray for miracles.
How do you deal with this discrepancy? as in intelligent person, you have to deal with it, because it makes no sense. In order to handle it, notice that you have to create some kind of rationalzation. You have to invent an excuse on God's behalf to explain this strange fact of life. You might say, "well God must have some kind of special plan for amputees" So you invent your excuse whatever it is and then you stop thinking about it because it is uncomfortable.
Question two later...

I do not believe that God ignores the prayers of amputees. God did not design human begins to regenerate limbs, it is not our nature, so whats the point in praying for another arm or leg?. I believe that God will help that person deal with it in some other aspect. The loss of a limb is a tribulation they must get through in order to show their faith in God. A prayer does not just simply go unanswered, maybe artificial limbs will be put in place of those that were lost. The circumstances are different for everyone, but all hope is not lost.

A God that loves you would never put you through a "tribulation"

Precisely Irish! god isn't meddling, answering one prayer but not the other, opting in when he has the chance etc... he is letting the turn of events turn! not interfering when someone "prays" for some help or guidence.

God doesn't heal a lot of people- not just amputees. This has nothing to do with how hard you pray. God gives specialists and physicians knowledge in certain subjects to offer solutions to many health scenarios. God does have a plan for His children, but I now know that He may not reveal His plan to us in this lifetime. These things are so hard to understand. I've lost 2 gradparents to cancers, and I don't ever worry about why God didn't spare them...or why they had to suffer for so long while they were sick. I know several people who are amputees, and they love their lives, and they love God. They don't blame God for the way they are. We all have imperfections in this world. Some of us battle depression, anxiety, struggle with addictions, etc. God doesn't promise us that He will heal our every ill- that's not His purpose. What we are promised is everlasting life, if we believe in Him. I pray that you do believe in Him, friend. I don't believe that God ignores anyone's cries out to Him. God doesn't need me or anyone else to defend Him or make up excuses for Him. He's God and He does what He does. I do know that the possibilities for new limbs are being improved every day...and if you don't think that God is instilling knowledge into the people who "come up with" these ideas, just where do they come from. Blessings to you.

This body is just physical. God heals our minds hearts and soul....gives us the will to go on when life tries to tears us down. If God heals every single physical abnormaility, he'd be a puppet God...but where it matters is in our hearts and how we can be uplifting during a life adversity.
my opinion

The healing takes place within the heart.
I'm not sure why God doesn't grow new limbs in this life, but I trust we will be hole in the next life.

I do, I work with some.
Now it's up to you to talk to an amputee with faith and try tell them not to have faith.

I believe in a god type entity but am not christian. However you really don't understand the christian religion..... or so I gather from your question.
1. You are assuming that amputees are unhappy.
2. You assume god answers miracles by giving you exactly what you want.
God takes care of the soul. If you're missing a hand your soul can still be well.

well you could also say that the fact that someone has a part amputated and so does not die is a miricle.

I don't believe that amputees are unhappy or have a problem with god, what I do know is that god is given the credit for a "miracle" healing of someone with say...cancer, or massive head trauma, or some other dehabilitating disease or injury. He is given credit for this type of healing everyday, however, he has NEVER been given credit for healing an amputee.

I like to think of myself as a good Christian woman and acting as such. I do know the feeling of asking questions of God's reasonings. Why do amputees go on without limbs? Why are the blind not able to see? Why is there so much sadness in the world?
I do believe in prayers and there seems to be a discrepancy sometimes but nevertheless I don't think that we go ignored or not listened to in the name of the holy spirit of God.

Well, I am not religious in the least, but there are happy people who have lost limbs. They get those fake ones and they go into the Olympics, you know? So I'm betting that's what any religious person would say. But I believe that those people used their own will power and determination to live a normal, happy life, I don't think God deserves the credit for that. They were just being brave. Not everyone can be.

There is no simple way to answer this question. The fact is that God is always in control. Sometimes he allows things to come into our lives to increase our faith in Him. There are a lot of things in life that don't seem fair and this is one of them, but God always has a reason for allowing these things to come into our lives.
When my daughter was born she had a severe congenital heart disease and had to have surgery when she was four months old. I asked God why then, she was innocent. I still don't know why God allowed that to happen, but she is 21 years old now and a wonderful Christian lady. I may not know the answer until we get to heaven as to why she had to go through that, but I know that God knows what he is doing.
My son was born with autism. I don't understand that either, but God knows what he is doing. My son has come a long way in making progress and I know with the Lord's help and my husband and I helping him in every way that we can he will continue to do so.
God Bless you my friend.

& what it isn't some sort of miracle that amputees are able to continue living & fight the daily battle they face to do things? . You need to realise that God as you refer to hasn't got as much power as you may like to believe. I don't see that earth can be ruled by 1 thing so analise that how you want it doesn't say i don't believe that there's no god it says i don't believe he has as much power as lots of people believe.
