when you have referrals don't they go on your friends list

I have 4 referrals but it still says I have no friends. Does anyone know how this works?

Refferals and friends is not same, you must add friends if you want to make your refferals shows in your friend list. have a nice day.

I'm so confused. I was referred by a friend from another website, Judy's Book. Oh well. I'll keep trying this though I'm not sure the point of this. Community?? Where do you find people with common interests??

No, you have to allow them on there and they have to approve you.
