I'm sure that most of you are familiar with the sample credit cards that sometimes show up in your mail -unsolicited. I received one today and opened it thinking I would just give it a look before tossing it into the trash. I got a big surprise when I saw that the card(Automotive Platinum Card), was actually imprinted with my name. Now, I am not a driver and would have no need for such a card, but I can't help thinking that if someone else had gotten this card they could have easily called the toll-free number and activated it using my name. The letter said the card had a predetermined amount -subject to negotiation. Have you ever gotten one of these? I have received many sample cards in the past but they never had my name on them.

Oh yes and very scary that anyone can activate ones of those cards very easily..I burn mine, but if you can't, cut it up and place in different trash cans..
