Does anyone have this?? I was recently diagnosed with this and I wonder if anyone else has it. i'm not really sure if i agree with it. to me it feels like they can't figure out what's wrong with me so they clump all my symptoms together and call fibromyalgia. because of my age they won't give me any medication like lyrica. they tell me to exercise and sleep well. by the time i get off work i'm in too much pain to exercise and i dont' sleep well because i have sleep apnea. luckily i have an appointment next week with my sleep doctor to figure out the next step. i'm just not really sure if i'm ready to accept this quacky diagnosis. do you any of you feel the same way?

My mom has fibromyalgia which she has had for years. Its not the worst compared to other people though. It causes her to be more weak than the average person. However the doctor prescribed her lyrica and it really helped her and I could see a diffrence in her attitude and energy. Shes more upbeat about life.

They told my mom she had it many many years ago before it was a well known thing. she fought and fought with the doctors that they were not right. after running many tests they found out she has lupus. i might be spelling that wrong. and that is something that she lives with everyday. maybe you should have them check if you have that. i am sure your doctor will say you are too young to have it but if he wont test for it i would see another doctor. i think fibromyalgia is become the doctors new ADD. they are saying everyone has it because they have no idea what is wrong with someone because of age or things like that

that's exactly how i feel. i feel like they can't figure out what's wrong or that they don't really want to have to work at it. my primary isn't the one who diagnosed it. when i was having all that pain i couldn't get in to see him so i saw a resident.

Well, I don't know what kind of syptoms you have but I have it and I didn't want to resort to the lyrica although if that was my last resort I would have taken it. I have been doing alot of research and I found a chiropractor who specializes in it. And I have had a very successful journey going to them. So you might want to try that.
