Well, whenever I started a new job, I always kept full eye contact, made sure to ask questions when I wasn't sure about something or something didn't quite seem too clear. NEVER be afraid to ask questions, it makes you seem more interested in the job to other people. Also, just breathe, don't stress just because you're not sure what to do. Be honest when you "goof" up and also be honest when someone asks you to do something and you don't know how to do it. The response should be, "I'm sorry, you'll have to wait for my supervisor because I was not trained, etc..." But good luck!!

Be friendly with your co-workers. I remember my first day in the office where I don't know what to do to mingle with my office mates. But I guess, its just a first day nervousness that I get. Eventually, I ended up being friends with my co-workers. It's best if you stay in good relations with you co-workers, if you get along with others that's so much better. First impression is lasting, that's is basically true.

What i would do is just treat the people you work with nice and become firends with them that way you will feel normal at your job and not worryed about people gossiping about you, and good luck with your new job.

Here's what you SHOULDN'T DO... Don't let any of the kids bribe you into signing them up for classes they aren't supposed to be taking. When I was a college freshman, one of my best friends in the registrar's office kept signing a bunch of freshman up for classes that they really weren't allowed to take until sophomore year! Well, by sophomore year- the office found out he was doing it. They also found out that this friend tapped into the president's personal files, and copied them to cdr's and then ripped them to his personal computer. They brought in the FBI, raided his dorm room, confiscated his computer, and kicked him out of school! He was lucky they didn't press charges!
