Biden Says Clinton Might Be Better Choice Than He

At a rally in Nashua, N.H., a man in the audience told Biden how glad he was that Obama picked him over Hillary, "not because she's a woman, but because, look at the things she did in the past." "Make no mistake about this," Biden responded. "Hillary Clinton is as qualified or more qualified than I am to be vice president of the United States of America. Let’s get that straight. She’s a truly close personal friend, she is qualified to be president of the United States of America, she’s easily qualified to be vice president of the United States of America, and quite frankly, it might have been a better pick than me. But she’s first rate, I mean that sincerely, she’s first rate, so let’s get that straight." http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/09/biden-hillary-a.html Hmm ... I'm not sure what to make of this. Is Joe feeling a little unsure of himself? Is Joe kissing up up the Clinton female supporters? Does Joe just need a hug?

Just sounds like Joe is speaking the truth. Nothing wrong with that

Yes I think Biden is being complementary towards Clinton, understandably so since he and Obama need Clinton to work hard for them and bring in her supporters for this election.

Those are good points. They could really use Hillary to help them fight Palin.

According to Senator Biden the Democrats are going with the second String. Will the October suprise be a Hillary as a third party?

Biden may not realize it, but when he said Hillary was more qualified than he was... he was also saying that Obama had no qualifications at all. Just a little something to think about....

Aaaahhh, gotta love good 'ol Biden. Next to Reagan he is the U.S. gaffe champion. I think in this case though he was just trying to compliment senator Clinton. I'm not going to read too much in to it. He certianly isn't saying Obama should have chosen Clinton over himself

Wait a minute, wasn't this guy running for PRESIDENT a few months ago? Now Hillary would have been a better pick for VEEP? Can you say 1+1=0? Get used to it.
