Definitely! I have an integrated camera on my phone so if ever something interesting pops up, I can shoot it. My girlfriend always carries her digital camera in her handbag so she can capture anything interesting.

I think more and more people are doing this now especially with the influx of camera and video recorders intergated into mobile phones. So often now in news footage you see mobile footage shot by eye witnesses.
