Something that greatly affected you positively, helped you grow and develop as a young man
Perhaps a sort of right of passage for a college-bound teenager.

I read the bible. I'm doing a more thorough and periodic reading of it now. As for the second one, I'll look into that. The title is really interesting, considering Mars being the God of War and combat and Venus of love and beauty. As for Shakespeare, that might take more discipline for me to swallow, but I've been meaning to read some. Only ones I've read were mostly due to academic obligations... Thanks for sharing.

No offense buddy but I hate Shakespeare. Not the person. Just the stuff he wrote. I don't think they're really that special.
Except for ONE - As you like it. I didn't read it, I only saw a play :D And it was done in Filipino, our native tongue so it was even more refreshing.

The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. It's a novel that tackles a lot about how people think or don't think for themselves. It's a wonderful read. It's a bit intimidating because it's thick and it has small font :D But don't worry about it, you'll have fun!
There are also philosophical concepts involved, you'll get introduced to them without knowing it. If you are familiar with philosophy, you'll recognize them right away.
