Finally 100 Posts!

I finally managed to get to 100! Yay! I'm not very good at continuous posting, so I kinda struggled to reach this number. Every time, I'll think, "I'll post a lot today!" but it never pans out. I stop posting after about 5 and just read the discussions. Even when I have countless tabs open, ready to post a reply, the desire fizzles out and I just end up lurking.
Anyway, so. Uhm. A minor question: what's the star for? Does anyone know what reputations mean? How do we get it? How to maintain it? What does it signify? I got a 7 when I reached 100 (75/100, the hover text said). What does that mean for me, then?
Regardless if anyone answers those questions or not, yay! 100! Haha! In the face of the 1000+ posts that a lot of others have, this is pretty miniscule, but a big achievement for me, so let me celebrate! :D

hello semicolonp. Glad you reach your 100 post. that's really cool. i didn't really sound so excited when i reach it, because im not making big in here. its ok though, im quite enjoying my stay here. it is one way to release stress. but sometimes it does take away so much of your time. the discussions posted mostly are interested, and you first priority should be commenting, but i end up reading all the responses!
I dont really post a lot. i guess i posted a discussions just about 6 only. And in those 6, one of them didnt even get a respond. thus, it makes me really feel like, im boring. maybe i need to get myself find an interesting topic, but i just cant rack my brains out. when you have these ideas, you sometimes just go with the flow and ask away. unfortunately, im always out of ideas. i am quite more of a responder than a poster. so yeah it feels good to be able to share your thoughts, and you be able to help out in simple ways.
Regarding about the star. I really don't have any ideas. But it feels good to have a star besides your name. it makes you feel like you are doing great or something. i know im not, just one of my silly thought. lol well keep on posting in mylot. :D

Dee or Sassy, whichever you chose is fine with me. LOL You and I have the same similar frustration about being here. I love the fact that it could relieve my stress. But since most mylotters keeps discussing about their payout here, i too want to get paid for my stay here, who doesn't? It's frustrating when you just earned about .05cents. haha To think that i spent most of my time here in mylot!
Yes, most of my free time. Indeed. Presto! Exactly! You know it. I know i know i have no life, so to speak. LOL But no i can't even reach payout. It would be great if i did. If not, oh well... maybe in 2months? :D The nagging reasons why i can't reach the payout is because, I keep reading and reading the discussions instead of posting my own discussions. I get this empty brains when im about to do so. Instead I just had to response to these discussions which keeps me up all night.
I don't blame mylot. It has been a great outlet from all the stress. So in a way, it does help me alot. Instead of talking to myself right? LOL I don't want to end up in a mental institution. :P

I really don't know how the rankings work here in this site but, I still would like to congratulate you on your 100th post.. reminds me of that feeling when I managed to accomplish such milestones.. (^_^ )

But thank you, thank you! Not just for the greeting but for the replies. When I look at your post count, I think, "Wow, 1859!" And then I look at mine and it's really inconsequential. But but but! When it stands on its own, I can't help but think, "Wow! 100 posts!" It took me past three weeks to do this, but I'm still really proud, haha!
Now, I just need to figure out those reputation smeputations. I'm thinking i's just an added treat for regular posters, but I can't help my curiosity from wanting to know. O_O

I don't always manage to reply so fast to your discussions.. Recall that first manga post you made? I wasn't the first one to post there, was I? Well, since your among those active friends of mine here in this site, I activated the option to be notified whenever you start up a new discussions and it just so happens that this time, I was online and got notified which got me to post first (^_^ )
You don't need to compare my posts with yours. You'll eventually reach that amount anyway and you do post with quality after all. I've even seen some posters here that have over ten thousand posts. I'm not really into posting as much as I can, I just post if I could and feel like it. If the discussions are interesting, the better for me to post without realizing that I have either posted ten or more posts.. I really like it more when there is an exchange happening, like my posts get replied by other members.. makes it really an interesting discussion.. hmmm, like the one we're doing right now?
I really don't know how the reputation works and I really don't want to find out 'cause, in my point of view, if I knew what I have to do to keep my reputation here in the site, I might as well be doing it over and over again and that might turn it into a routine than just being spontaneous with whatever it is that I do here in this site.. though, what I do here mostly comprises of posting comments, replies and starting discussions within my interests... (^_^")

congratulations you did reach your 100th post! keep on posting so that you could take advantage of the mylot codes and copy paste feature in posting.
anyway, a star indicates how you did well here in mylot. how people react to your post. but i tell you, don't be bother by that star. there are times you'll encounter people who mark as down because they just want too.
keep on posting and browsing heer in mylot. i assured you, you will not only earn but you will also learn. and the best part is that you will meet lots of friends too!

Yes, thank you! I do plan to reach the number of posts required for the copy/paste feature as well as the emoticons. :) C/P is especially a big thing for me because my connection's not the the best around and there's been a lot of times when my connection's been lost while writing a post. At least when I reach 500+, I can write my responses in notepad and then c/p what I've written there. :)
I'm not really interested in how to use the star, I just want to know what it's for because my curiosity's piqued, lol. I read the FAQ portion regarding reputations and the system of the + and - and I still didn't get it, so thank you for the explanation.

First, Congrats for you achievement reach 100th post. You have done a good job in here.
You get the star when you reach your 100th post and you get 7, it is good one. You can increase it by make a good quality and descriptive post. It's shown your reputation in here. Also other myLot members which rate you with "+" it will increase your star and your star can also drop down when you receive the "-".

Thank you, thank you! I don't know how good it was, because it seriously took me a long time, but I'm really glad to have managed it all the same. :)
That + and - system mylot has has confused me a lot even after reading the FAQ page that explained it, but thanks to you people who explained it to me, I think I have a marginal understanding of it.
Thanks a lot of the congrats and explanation! I do plan to keep mylotting, yes. :D
