firefox crushes when opening some websites.please help

i am using firefox 3.and sometimes when i open certain websites i it suddenly crashes out.it is common for certain websites.even after crash if i load that page once again the same thing will happen.so i cant view some pages in firefox.can anyone help please to solve this.i uninstalled an reinstalled firefox several times but it was of no use.

I agree with Mirage, 99% it is Java problem, but not on the web site side, it's on your side. I suggest you to update, or even better reinstall, Java Runtime. I had that problem with my site, after reinstalling Java Runtime it works perfect.

I have had those problems but it isn't FF that is the problem it seems my is a Java problem with the site that I am accessing that is causing the problem the same site will not have the problem all of the time

Hi! That happened to me too, though it was with firefox 2. I went to the firefox site and posted the problem in their help forum. But as I was in the middle of posting, firefox crashed on me again. I got too impatient with it so I switched back to Internet Explorer, and it's been smooth going so far. I think the firefox forum did give suggestions as to what to do, but well... too late, I'm quite satisfied with IE now. Still, if you really like firefox, why not visit their site and ask for help - they're really very helpful. ![](/Content/images/emotes/thumbup.gif)
