i want to take a minute to reflect on 7 years ago today. it was a horrible tragedy and want to thank all the firefighters, police officers, medical personnel, volunteers, etc. i remember being at work at Walmart and hearing it on the radio and all the customers and associates just froze. we were all crying together and making sure everyone was ok. even all the strangers were consoling one another. everyone just came together and it didn't matter who anyone else was. there were customers and associates standing together in the aisles watching TV. people were going around the store updating everyone as things happened. Walmart became a kind of sanctuary that day. I just want everyone to take a moment today and think about where you were that day. remember it, never forget how the entire world came together in our time of need. the world will be a better place because of what happened 7 years ago IF we all remember and take care of each other like we did during this horrible time in our lives. I am not religious but GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!!!

I know you said to not respond but I have to. That day was a blank for me. I was at my new place in North Carolina unpacking. A few hours go by and a military policeman pulled into the driveway. He informed me of what happened. I had no clue of any of it till then. That day was the first day of work for me at my first duty station as a United States Marine. It is a day that I will never forget. I may not of known of the situation at first, but I knew everything by the end of the day. A big heart and lots of caring is what keeps the States of America United. Semper Fi

Thanks for responding. I'm surprised no one else wanted to share.
