Your rants about the taxes deducted from our salary.

What do you feel about the taxes being deducted from our salary every pay day? Do you think that it is too much or is it fair? Me, I feel that these tax deductions are a burden. Imagine 30% of your income that you've worked hard for is just going to taxes. Then, all the items that you purchase or all your assets are still taxable. I hope someday taxes from our salary will be removed because all others have taxes

Well yeah sometimes it does make you feel that withholding taxes are really a burden on our part. But i think this is the only source where our government could earn revenues for them to work efficiently.

Well, collecting taxes is one of the income generator of one state. All taxes, in an ideal world, should be used for development programs and state projects. I know it is a burden. However, if no taxes will be collected, the state will not have money and I think our compensation will be lower since compensation is primarily factoring in taxes. Let us work hard and affect decision-making by making sure we elect people who will not take away our taxes and put it in personal use. Taxes are great... if used appropriately. Good day!

yeah i agree. We work on extra hours just to get a bigger pay but still, they put greater deductions on overtime pay. Yet, we can't see improvements in the construction of bridges nor receive a news that the country's debt is getting smaller and smaller. Nothing good to hear at all. Sometimes we wonder where our taxes are going. We are working hard but other people are in benefit of it. The corrupt officials I guess are enjoying our hard earned money. I think it would be fair enough if they would make a lot of improvemnets in our roads, bridges and construction of public utilities like public schools and clinics, at least we can see where our taxes are going. The Filipino people are going through economic crisis right now and the government must help us to have better lives. Wish they could lessen the percentage on taxes so it won't be a burden for us and we can enjoy what we have worked for
