Bully or be bullied?

Question for all my fellow mylotters. Its pretty well known that if you are a child in school and are "different" then the other kids, you tend to get bullied...esepcially if that diffrent is that you are overweight.
Here is my question, is it your experience or knowledge that overweight children more often get bullied, or become the bully?
I ask this because as a child i was overweight and i was bullied, not severely but enough to affect me. However at my sons school, there is a girl in his class (he is in kindergarten) who is quite heavy for her age. I am in no way picking on this child or being ignorant so please understand that. I have two friends who's children both weight about 25 lbs more than my son, and this little girl, definitely is heavier then my two friend children..which is why i know she is overweight. Anyway, she seems to be the bully of the class. The first day of school she mouthed off to the teacher and the second day she kicked two other students, and broke crayons.
So is it more common now for the ones that use to be picked on to start out as being the bully before they get a chacne to get bullied?
I would hope that no child would have to ever be bullied or feel they need to bully, but sadly its far to common in school.
What are your thoughts?

It's problematic they don't teach people how to solve bullying problems in school, hehe...
Truthfully, I have seen many bullies during my school days, and most of them become bullies because they are afraid of being bullied. I have never been bullied before, but I have friends who gets bullied, and it really piss me off, because I don't know whether they need my help or not. It doesn't work one way, it has to work both ways. People who wants help from being bullied needs to speak up. They must be able to stand up before we even teach them how to walk...

That is a very good question my friend and I do not think that being over weight automatically means you will either be a bully or get bullied,I think it is what type of personality you have to go with it,if you are a shy timid person then you will most likely get bullied, but if you are a gutsy person or a mean spirited person then you will most likely be the one doing the bullying, even though being a bully is wrong ,and I got bullied a lot when I was in school.

This is an interesting topic of discussion. Bullying seemed to be overlooked more when I was growing up during the 1970's and 80's. It seems there is more focus on bullying now a days and the harm it brings to many.
Children who are subjected to this behavior are truly hurt. It is such a sad situation in deed. I do hope that my son as well as your son never have to be on either end of it.
I would agree that someone who is bullied is far more likely to become the bully himself. Maybe as a form of self worth or protection. Whatever the case it has a profound effect on an individual.
