Do you always arrange your computer desk?

Honestly, I don't. some of the papers and notes that I put in front of me while I am online is still there for months already. I don't want to keep on arranging and putting things to some places because I have lots of notes there that I need when I go online. I don't care if my desk looks topsy turvy as long as my notes and some important things are there when I need it.
How about you? are you an organized person when it comes to your notes and things needed to go online? Me, not.. I just put everything in front of me and can stay there for months.
I'm just curious to hear your story.

Hi Bebs,
I arrange them but I don't really segregate...It's not messy but I know there are papers that I need to throw but I am not doing it..I am tired, so, I will just let them stay there..LOL! as for my hubby's desk, I don't like to touch it, I arranged it once and I asked him to maintain the arrangements since he has a lot of papers and I know some are very old already, some are for sure not needed anymore! LOL!

Hi Che,
It is just funny because sometimes I spilled my food in my desk. I am taking my food in there coz I eat while doing online thing. When I am alone, I seldom eat in the dining room. There are times that I don't even eat when I am so fascinated with the thing I do online. Well, I suppose not to touch my hubby's desk but sometimes it's a sore eyes to some visitors that are coming to our house. My desk is not so obvious because it is in our room, his is outside so then, when visitors come they could see the mess.

My computer desk isn't organized either, I've got papers all over the place with little notes on them, and cd's and dvd's sitting on it. I try to straigten it up once in awhile, but it doesn't stay that way for long...

I am not really very fond of keeping old notes that I don't need or old files that I believe will no longer of use. I don't want mess around me so all things I find messy I throw away. Sometime it works to my disadvantage because there were few times I realized I need that file that I've thrown out. Ha!ha!ha!

I can not relate to that experience because I have no desk of my own. I am using the net cafe when I log in to mylot, so I have nothing to worry about arranging everything in that desk. hahahah.. I come to different computer desk every time I visit the net cafe. But in my office I have a computer and I can not call it my own because it's an office computer desk. Yes, I arrange things like receipts, and other clippings use for the job. I wish I can have my own computer and desk..

Oh yes! The 'Paperless Office' is what the computer was heralded to achieve. Hah!!
Well I have so much paper on my desk and in folders on shelves that it is hard to get into my study!!
Now let me see. The keyboard was here somewhere just now! haha

you are funny!!! like my husband's desk full of folders, papers and all those bills, reaceipts etc. Sometimes i can't stand looking at it. Mine is not scattered even if I have all the notes and everything in there. I tell you I have notes that lays in front of me for months already but they are not like hurricane victims. Not neatly arranged but not like garbage either. Just normal topsy.. hehehehe

I am a bit of the neat type. Not depressingly neat!! But I do like my computer table, my computer desktop to be neat and clean. No loose sheets of paper lying around. Right now, I have a fixed line phone, a mobile, and my laptop on my table. My Mom has just placed some sheets of paper on my table, and I am going to remove them right away. Occasionally, my cat sits on my table. As a very special member of the family, he is permitted to do so.
Cheers and happy mylotting

It's funny coming across your question. I'm quite a topsy-turvy person myself and I do quite drive my hubby crazy because he can't stand how my workstation looks most of the time but can't do anything anymore about it :p
Once, out of the goodness of his heart (read: his OC nature really couldn't stand the mess), he arranged everything without telling me! He really got an earful of complaints right after. I hate it when other people (yep, including him) touch my work stuff.
No matter how my files, folders, notebooks, etc. look, I know the exact places where to pull out the things I need when I need them. I don't know why I'm not too bothered by the mess but I do clean up once in a while BUT only when I feel doing it and that if I have enough time to do so. Otherwise, I can still work perfectly fine in a corner that others may label an "eyesore".

hahaha.. you are like my hubby!!! even if his place is a mess(computer deck) he doesn't want me to touch it because his topsy things would be more complicated when I will put it another way. I just leave it scattered.. lol that's what he wants.. mind is not as topsy turvy as his.

I always arrange my computer desk. But after few hours, my desk will become messy again with a lot papers. I don't why I keep cleaning, and the papers and thing keep coming back again. Cleaning computer desk is like forever job. When I need books or papers, I put it on my computer desk then I will be lazy to put until my desk become overloaded. After overloaded, then I will realize I need to clean my computer desk. Like now I think my computer desk in mess.

I'm pretty organized, I don't like to have a cluttered computer desk since its so little. Its just one of those "put together in 5 minutes" kind of desks. I do have some pictures sitting on top of my scanner though so it reminds me to scan them, which I'll take care of as soon as possible.

i don't have my own permanent computer desk. I put my laptop in my lap when I am using it like right now. When i don't I just leave it in our couch. But my husband has his own computer desk and its very messy sometimes. If i feel cleaning and arranging it I would but he is always the one clean his computer desk coz he knew much better than me where to put every thing in place. And I can really tell he cleans better than me when it comes to his computer desk especially his mad about something he clean all the house while I am sitting...hahaha.

yes, I agree that it is nice to sit in a clean and arrange desk but if I put away all my notes and everything, it will take me more time to look for it when I need it. and I consider my time. I just don't want to waste time looking for things where I can save it if I just put it in front of me.

hmmm... I usually dont arrange my shelf or my computer desk. I know it hardly takes time, but then I do that on saturdays or on sundays. I am not seriously organised, but then I see to it that everything is at its place, and sometimes if things are not at their place, i just wait for saturday or sunday to come to arrange them again. I never do any type of cleaning or any kind of arrangements on weekdays, it is only when i have enough of time and when i have an off that i concentrate on these works. For me, if my things are before me, that is enough for me whether they are arranged or not.

Fortunately, I have different computer with my husband. He got me one because he doesn't want to be disturbed when he is using his computer. Therefore, he has his own desk and I have my own. He also do not want his desk to be arranged. He wants it as it is even if you can't understand where are the new bills and the old.. hahaha because all the bills are in his desk. I tell you it looks like there is a hurricane passing. But anyway, that's what he wants. He wants everything in place where he put it, so with me.
