Have you ever believed you were lucky to be alive? I am right now. I was almost in a car accident. I was going straight at an intersection, the light was green, there were a few cars ahead of me. Out of nowhere this car comes from the left and it seemed like everything was in slow motion. I saw the car, slammed on my brakes. I saw the driver's face of the other car when his car came skidding towards me. I was waiting for a big CRASH, but...nothing. I stopped inches away from him. The next thing I know...he's speeding away again. I must have done something right to be that lucky.
What about you friends? Tell me.

My parents used to say that everyday I came home alive, miracle happened... I didn't quite understand what she meant till I grew up... I grew up in Korea & where I used to live, I remember seeing a lot of construction sites... I remember playing one day & I tripped over a pile of rocks & falling on this long wooden board face down... I did catch myself that I didn't hurt my face but when I got up, I saw one of those metal "picks" sticking straight up in between my legs... Force of me falling down knocked this pick from 3 stores up straight down.. I've gotten into a car accident where I ended up with small pieces of glasses in my eyes... I was sitting behind the driver & we got side swiped by a drunk driver merging onto highway... There was another time that I got hit by a truck twice with in 2 minutes apart... I parked my car in a shopping mall parking lot & as I was walking towards the front sliding door, there was a small service door little off to the side of the main door & that's where the big indrustrial dumpster was... It was during winter time & I happened to slip & I stumbled a bit to my side & as I stumbled, I reached out to grab something then here comes the trash truck just backed right into me... Because of the beeping noice it makes, he didn't even know I got pushed, he was moving slow enough that it didn't throw me or anything... By the time somebody went upto his front windshield & starting banging on it, back part of the trash truck was over my head & one of the wheels of the truck was about 6 inches away from my armpit... People finally helped me up & as I got up to shake it off & started walking towards to side walk, one of the big truck must have hit the slick spot on pavement & skidded right into my left leg & I got jolted & got thrown about 15 feet, then a tree jumped out & stopped me, lol... Here's the kicker... Hospital was about a block away from the mall... They called & embulance showed up with in 3 minutes... Well, they loaded me up & on their way out the parking lot, they got flat tire... I could've walked to the hospital faster... Finally I get to the hospital & got x-rayed & got poked around... Luckly, I got few bumps & bruises & that was it...

Back in the later part of March in 03 I owned a Convertible. It had been unusually warm for late March so I had actually been able to ride with the top down a few days earlier. On the day of my accident for whatever reason I decided to leave the top up and I just rolled my windows down. I was on the road going 65 (speed limit 60) when my door came open. I went to pull it shot and catch it when I pulled the steering wheel with my other hand. On the side of the rode there was gravel lanes that I hit at 65. During all the confusion my foot slipped and hit the accelerator when I went for the break and I ended up doing a 180 in the road. Once my car got turned around my tires dug into the medium. For a split second in almost slow motion my car came to a stop then the momentum of everything flipped me on the Hood. Had I not had the top up I would have probably bashed my skull in. I unbuckled and started making my way out of the car. Lucky for me they were doing construction across the road and the workers pulled me out the car, To this day I felt I was lucky on that day. It wasn't another driver or a deer or dog in the road that caused me a problem. None of the close calls I had before had ever been anything like this. I still don't know why my door didn't latch. All I know is if I didn't put that top up I wouldn't be here today.

Yes, I would suppose so I am. I was hit by a car on my bike when I was about 6 years old.. It was a scary situation then.. I also almost drowned, but my cousin, cousin jumped in the water to save me. His name was Darryl. I had had a crush on him prior to this time.
