I have started more discussions today than I normally do, I am full of them today.
This one is about hurricane Ike, I find myself going back to the weather channel getting an update on Ike. I am not in the path of Ike. The weather forecasters are saying that it is a major hurricane and it is suppose to come ashore sometime Friday or Saturday, Ike is a huge storm moving towards the west at 20 miles an hour Ike is a very large storm and will cover a large amount of territory. Texas is right in the path of Ike.
I believe Ike is going to damage something severely.
The MyLot members that are in the path of Ike are you keeping and eye on the updates of this major hurricane?

I'm not in the path of this storm however I did live there for 10 years and seen my share of their weather and didn't like it one bit and was soooo happy to have gone from there when I did!! Hubby was in the army at the time and has since retired but we did live in Killeen Texas which is by Ft. Hood. Neither is far from the coast and I can only imagine my friends are buckling up for this terrible storm. I have been watching it pretty closely for it was heading towards the florida panhandle, where my three God kids live, but it since has turned towards Texas. Don't get me wrong now, I don't wish this on anybody but am glad it's not going to hit my God kids.

We pretty much watched the weather channel non stop and also got updates on the computer until we lost power, phones, and dsl. We got our power back late Sunday night (though many in our area still do not have power), and we finally got our phone service and DSL back today. I sure am glad that monster is gone!

Hi Chevee,
I am not checking about it but I will try to research after posting! I wish that affected areas will really pay attention and if they need to evacuate they will do it to avoid so much accidents!

I noticed a week or so ago they started making noise about Ike and it just seemed that the weatherman thought this one could be a bad one. I bet the people in Texas near the Coast are all glued to the TV and Computer. Hopefully most will evacuate so there aren't to many people hurt by this storm. Hurricane season is sure trying to make up for the lack of one last year.
