Traveling (flying) with a camera

When you travel by plane what equiptment do you feel you have to take for taking pictures. I travel with my Laptop and a good camera. I receintly purhchased a Canon G9 and I alos have a Canon A530 that I use when I travel. Both are compact and take great photos. The laptop is necessary to down load and sort the photos.

I went to Malaysia recently and brought along with me my Pentax K10D and my Laptop. Like you, I use my laptop as a storage device for my pictures. I like to bring my K10D because it's a pretty good camera. I also have a Nokia N95 that I use for other pictures as well. It has a decent 5MP camera.

I suggest you buy a smaller and lighter laptop and then buy an external hard drive.

I took photos from a plane window in the Maldives when I flew over the islands and reef. I just have an ordinary digital made by Olympus. I got some wonderful photos of the tropical islands from the air. The zoom really helped me because it is 5 times 10. I wish that I had taken photos on other flights. I got a superb view of the opera house in Sydney and a wonderful view of the pyramids.

i dont bring valuables when i travel. i only bring camera and its digi. idont want to worry about my things whenever i live my hotel. cause its hard to live valuables inside the hotel room. digi cam will do.
