Which would you rather have, more money come out of your paycheck every month, or a large lump sum once a year?
Personally, I prefer the former. But with all the talk about taxes and the down-turn in the economy, what do people really want?

I'd rather have a paycheck every month. I don't really have much savings now so if I only get paid once a year, I don't think I'll survive. I also think it's easier to budget a monthly pay compared to a yearly pay. I think with the taxes, we'll get taxed the same amount whether we take the paycheck every month or once a year.

Not exactly, because your forgetting that if you get the lump sum, you miss out on the interest you might have earned if it was in your monthly check. Basically, if you get a big refund every year, you are giving the governement an interest free loan for the year. Can you imagine if you tried to do that to them?
