End of the world???

they said 1999 was the end of the world... i believed but the world didn't end... they said Y2k was the end of the world... i believed again but the earth continued to rotate... now they said 2012 is the end of the world? i'd say: dun worry, life goes on...

Good day... Personally I don't want to know the date or even the year our world may end. I mean where's the fun in that. All of us will face the same end whether we like it or not, it's just the question of when and how. I'd rather enjoy my time here, be with my family, be with my love, help people in anyway I can. In the end we're still going to meet one way or the other. Why worry and specially why hurry? For all we know there is already an asteroid going our way and there's nothing we can do about it when earth's time is up then it's up.

Well... I don't want to sound offensive or cynical, but I don't trust those kind of prediction. I mean, no one here in this world knows when and how this world is going to be ended. And for me such prediction ,or if scientist said it was a calculation, is a hoax. Since I don't believe with this news, I think it is just an issue that would be make for the political interests. I would do nothing about it, just live my life like usual and not mention this to anyone so I am not gonna be the one who spread the lie :) Good luck and happy myLotting

I don't believe on that....no one can tell if when will be the end of the world.Predictions makes us worry.The best thing is have faith in God,Continue believing on Him.We should be prepare for the things that happen in our life and Just continue praying and Believing on Him.

Hi, I have been reading these sort of story for sometime now. Did you know that beside Nostradamus prediction on the same year, there is a tribe, an ancient tribe to be exact has also predicted the same year as the year where the world will end. That tribe is the Mayan Tribe. The way they predict the end of the world is also remarkable, they use astronomy as their source of prediction. So how about it...

I still believe that NOBODY can predict the future of the world and what will happen but God himself. I am very skeptic about where the date came from and where the news originated and all that. Prayers are a big part also.

yes, I have heard of it but it is merely a prediction. the world's end has been predicted so many times and still here we are. IF it were true...what can we do? I choose to live my life the best I can and in the most peaceful way as if every day could be the last because know what?....it could be. Kiss your wife or your girl and your children as if it will be the last time always because you just never know. life is unpredictable. you should live every day as if it could be your last.

No I did not believe in such type of fakes.I don't think so that our earth will going to destroy at any date.

Well, I have also raised this discussions I think month or two back. But now I have stopped thinking over it because I have realized all of us have to meet the same destiny one day or the other day. By thinking of tomorrow are we not killing our today. If it happen we will die and if it do not happen we will survive. Who has seen tomorrow. We were earlier talking about the Big Bang and experiment being conducted at the France Switzerland border by the scientists world over. Nothing has happened. So not to worry enjoy your present. Hi, I'm not sure that I believe in this! There have been many doomsday predictions throughout the ages and none of them have come to pass! We shouldn't even be here now! Armagheddon was supposed to arrive around the year 2000 but here we remain!! I think that the prophet Nostradamus has some credibility though as some of his predictions came true, not all, but some! The closest thing that we have come regarding the end of the world is this huge scientific experiment that they have going on in Switzerland! You know, the "Hadron Collider". Anyway, they mentioned that there could be the possibility of creating mini black holes that would eventually make their way to the centre of the Earth, and then the Earth would start being dissolved into nothing from the inside out! A very frightening prospect! So, the "End of the World" could be imminent! Out of curiosity though I will look up this date. Andrew

Its because of the numbering, 6-6-06 was supposed to be the end as was 2-2-02 and 9-9-99. Its not then end, people just love conspiracy in numbers.

If the world is going to end there is nothing I can do about it. However, I do think it is useful to think about the end of the world as it pertains to the way you live your life now. For example, if you knew the world was going to end on 12/21/12 would you change the way you are living now?

Yes i know what is going to happen on that date. My son is going to turn 11 that day. LOL . But now seriously i dont know if the world will end that day but i havn't given it much thought. It doesn't really bother me much. As there has been predicitions like this before in the past and nothing has ever come of them. We are still all here.

I really dont know whether the so called dooms day will happen.But it was calculated from an old Mayan calendar.According to them on 21st of December 2012,the mayan calendar gets completed.So those people believed,that will be the last day of the earth.But scientific facts tells us that during that year the suns electromagnetic radiations will be so strong,that may destroy the earth.But no one know s what will happen unless that day come.Thank You.Happy mylotting

my personal opinion is... i really dont care about whatever happens dat day!! There's a quote i heard from one of my friends... "If you can solve a problem then what is the need to worry about it. And if you can't solve a problem then what is the use of worrying about it." I think it applies perfectly to this scenario. If there is an end to the world, let us suppose by an asteroid... u n me can't do anything about it right?? except may be watching live on tv when the asteroid collides with us lol... if there is a way to avert it then most probably NASA guys will deal with it... not only asteroid, take any cause for that matter, it will happen if it has to happen and it won't if it hasn't gotta happen. we can only hope for good because hope is what keeps a man going. so cheer up.. live life to the fullest :-)

Yes I have heard of this date. I think with everything going on today this date is the least of our worrys. If we don't change the way we are doing things soon we will take out the planet on our own. Maybe that is what this is all about. at any rate I try not to worry about it, because even if the the world were to end tomorrow I could not do anything to stop it. I plan to live every day as if there is no tomorrow and enjoy life.
