never forget that we have a sworn enemy

It seems hard to believe that it’s been seven years since the horrendous attack on America by Islamic terrorists. On the one hand, it seems like ages ago. On the other, I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing, and it seems like only yesterday. As I reflect on that day seven years ago, tears well up in my eyes. Let us never forget the lives and families that were shattered. Let us never forget the courage and the tenacity of the first responders, many of whom were killed or injured. Let us never forget the cost our country endured. Let us never forget how we as a nation pulled together and overcame this tragedy. Let us never forget that we have a sworn enemy who wants us either dead or subjugated. And let us never forget that the price of liberty is eternal vigilance.

..amen.. it also reminds me of the horror of hatred.. yet, unfortunately you can't defend your self and country from such hatred with kindness.. I find that very sad.

I remember when I first saw the attack on Tv. At first, I thought it was the start of an Action Adventure movie, and then I said, "this is for real," and that it was on CNN. So we watch it all day, seeing the attack recorded over and over again. I was so angry that someone had boarded the plane, pretended to take flying lessons just so they could crash in the Twin Towers and kill not only themselves but those passengers some who were also innocent women and children. I was all for the invasion of Kuwait and the invasion of Iraq and believed that there were weapons of mass destruction but they had been taken apart and hidden in the sands somewhere. I do believe it was an attack on the Western Way of life and a way to bring us in subjection to Islam. I am all for looking out for terrorists and makng sure they do not enter North America. Oh I am a Canadian, they might have bombed our parliament building but I do not thnk they would. Canada is too in making peace with bad guys.

it was an attack on western life they hate our freedom to thing and the battle is still going on now it is rhetoric and talking and so called political correctness and friend it terrifies me that unless we take our heads out of the sand and recognize the enemy they will (remember Kruchef)bury us in our own self righteous ness so man folks don't want to admit who the enemy really is

You make really good points revdauphinee. I feel like many people in this country are too concerned about living their daily lives to be concerned with the issue of the safety of the country. The economy is in bad shape with food, energy and gas prices rising. Unemployment is high. For some, the struggle of everyday life is the number one priority. All of us in the country should be thankful for the people who strive to keep us safe.

i agree and we must not ignore those who live among us and who wish us more harm if you refuse to speak out against terrorism them we can only assume you support it
