Earnings I got yesterday for only few posts.....

Great topic! I'm still fairly new to this place and I have no idea how they calculate your earnings. I think all the PP's have some great tips, I'll have to try to keep them in mind when I come here to post.

Yeah i was wondering the same thing, but i figured out that its all about qualitiy not quantity. So instead of posting 1-2 lines you should atleast post around 3-4 lines because that way you can make more money and etc.. Good luck to you!

well, it often happens to me too. First of all to make it clear to you, you dont earn for getting responses on ur discussion. its only when you comment back on those responses, you earn for those comments. Talking about the irregularity of earnings, it has happened to me quite often. Infact, this was one reason, i left using mylot for about an year in the middle. Usually, i dont post much and my average earnings remain between 20 and 24 cents. I hardly put up 5-6 responses and post some comments. Actually, the earnings all depends on the quality of responses u post, their content, how much relevant is it to the topic and the description of ur post counts for ur earnings. Quantity doesn't matter much for earning on mylot. Somedays, you micght post 20-25 responses and earn only 30 cents and at the same time, u post some 11-12 responses and earn around 50 cents. So, its all uncertain and we dont really know the earnings formula of mylot. So lets not worry, and lets keep mylotting!!

When starting a new discussion, our earnings are not only in our hands but also depends on the person who responds to us. What we can do is to start a quality discussion which is descriptive. If the response you get is also more descriptive it will earn us more. Otherwise the earnings will not increase much. So it is not the number of responses that matter. Hope I make some sense. Lol. I think earnings per post depend on the length and quality of your response. If you respond with just 1 to 2 lines, even if you post 30 times, that will earn less than as opposed to responding 10 times with more than 5 lines. As for the responss you get for your posts, I'm not sure how payment there goes. I read in one of the posts that you should comment on all the responses you get from discussions you started.

i really do not understand the workings of mylot.you get paid more if there are lenghty discussions and also if you start more number of discussions. happy posting.

replying with a few lines of decent input to a discussion is paid well, i wonder if the earnings fluctate with supply and demand on a day to day basis. i don't think mylot pays you a full cent for a reply to one of your discussions.. atleast i havn't noticed the difference on my earnings page, try not to take the money to seriously it will build up eventually.

I think it have many reason for that. The first one is myLot system is not depend with our one post to get earning. It will review and see how quality our post. Then we will get our money base on our psot. The second one is the time different. If you make your 30 post directly, so it will be a strange with your earning. But if you make it separately, so it won't very confuse. because myLot count every 24 hours. I usually get my earning update at 10pm in my time area. So if I post at 6pm or 7pm. My post won't be count in today earning, but for the next earning. Hope you understand it. Keep post happy myLotting...

I know what you mean. I think I posted around 30 responses yesterday, and started several discussions which got a couple of replies each, and I have only risen by 0.19, which isn't very good at all. If I carry on like this I will never reach payout at all never mind this month!

Well there are days like that. I think there was a day when i know i only posted a little and got paid higher than those days that i posted a lot. The length of the post is quite the same and I even uploaded some photos. I read somewhere that the makers of mylot developed and algorithm for payment and that we should not try to guess how it works for it's an insult to the work of the developers. Well just keep on posting and just be happy with what they give us i think. Good luck to us!

I know how you feel. I posted 50 responses one day and one discussion. I used over four sentences in my responses which is what mylot suggests and i only got 16 cents. I am alittle confused because i read a discussion a couple of days ago where the person had answered 50 discussions with only 1-2 sentences each and earned over $1. I am not really sure how mylot calculates their earnings.

I'm only responding to discussions and from what I'm getting according to my calculation, I get .01+ cents for every post that I make. My post are always 4-5 lines long. I don't know about the quality though. I think I'm posting a decent post. Maybe I'll try next time with 10 posts with 10-11 lines and see how I'll make. I'm only new here so I really haven't tried a lot of things yet. But surely I'll try them maybe next time.

Yes it also happens to me more often or not. I think reason is how valuable to the community your discussions were and how many responses you have got.

The earning system is a bit of a puzzle to I belive most of the mylotters. It seems that one has to write long and meaningful discussions or responses, for one liners get less payment. Actually there are some dicussions where you dont have to use your brains and just type yes or no or name jof your pet, and they come in the top discussions of the day. All this is confusing to me and I am yet to decipher how mylot works. But keep writing and enjoy

In my case, my participation in the early mornings are reflected yesterdays earnings that are posted up later at night. While my participations in the afternoon are only reflected in tomorow's earnings update. Besides that, there are no exact ways to count how much you can earn for the same activity because the earnings fluctuate. Don't be too caught up by how much you get paid. The more you expect, the more disappointed you get if you didn't reach the goal. I have joined mylot for about 2 years already but have not even reach my first $10 here but I still enjoy it here.

Yup, I've got the same thing. Sometimes I think I did so much and receive a little but then I have few replies made and starts two discussions I got one respond each and earn 30+ cents. I think it has to do with you star ranking for sure. And the lenght ofyour response matters too. And yet another factor is the number of (+) or (-) you got for that particular response, that's why I always rate the sepsonse or comment I'm replying to^_^ Basicaly, I think that writing a response with an attitude like "must post more then I get more $" is wrong, because replies driven by money are never as good as they could be. Oh, I forgot. I've heard that receiving a best response can boost you earnings.

Oh sometimes it is really confusing my dear. When I was new at myLot, I almost got crazy why? Until I learn to disregard that thing. I just post and post and did not mind how much they gave me for a day. I just accept and do not ask anymore. There were days I did not expect high earnings but I got very high but there were days I got disappointed because I got so low even if I thought I worked hard. But that adds excitement don't you think so? Just learn to live with it.
