The 49ers might have the worst quarterback situation in the NFL. When you consider their starter has been cut as a backup by at least 2 other teams that isn't very good. It is too bad they spent so much on Alex Smith who just seems like a complete bust. I can't believe they didn't try to get Culpepper, leftwich, or somebody besides J.T. it seems like they are just giving up before the season even started.

Seattle is actually a good team -- despite all the injuries. The 49ers lost last week to a team that is not good. I love the 49ers, I really do. But, this is not the year they get it together. O'Sullivan is a "just don't lose it" quarterback. Now, a team can win with that type of QB. But, only if you have a defense. Which the 49ers don't have.
The 49ers will nto be competitive until John York stops trying to run the team. He is the owner, he needs to just write the checks. He needs to stop trying to prove what a man he is by trying to make all the decisions about running the team when he is clearly incompetent to do so.

JT O'Sullivan is definitely playing well and I do think they stand a chance against a battered Seahawks team. But, I'm not convinced they have what they need to make the playoffs this year.
