Please help! I have a teenage daughter that wants to go to homecoming. I need assistance with were to buy a reasonably priced dress as finances are extremely tight. I just don't have a spare $100 buck lying around for formal wear.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Please Help!

Check E-Bay! Search for used homecoming/prom dresses on the computer. Check re-sale stores. Also, I had a prom dress that I wore, 2 of my cousins borrowed and a friend from church borrowed. Maybe you can ask friends of the family with daughters that may have dresses. Sometimes local stores (like Bridal Stores) have some on sale from last season. Do you have a local DEB shop at your mall? They have BEAUTIFUL ones for cheap! JcPenney usually has them as well. Good Luck!

good suggestions. I don't like the ebay idea because we can't try the dress on prior to purchasing and with being a teenager, she is at inbetween sizes. She is an only child with her cousins being much older and the dresses already given away. I'm hitting Deb's this weekend before everything is picked over. Penney's is a good suggestion too! Thanks! I'll run with a few of these ideas!

I am in the same situation this year and my best advice is to try the nearest salvation army or thrift shop, generally you can find formal wear for around $25 and hopefully they have something she'll like.

I think we are going to start this weekend. The dance isn't until the 11th of October. It will give us a few weeks to find something perfect.
