What is Google Adsense?

Hi everyone, I recently read a post on here about Google Adsense, and I was wondering what it was. Is it like a get paid to blog type thing? Do you have to have a popular blog to be accepted? How much do you get paid per post? Does it depend on the traffic to your blog? Any help in answering my questions would be greatly appreciated.

I believe it can be anyone. Though when I 1st had it, I used it on HubPages and have been trying it with blogs as well. I don't know if it would matter so much but that is from what I've worked with on it. I know that I signed up for it and got approved rather quickly without fail. I haven't tracked lately but it will take time to get the payout.
