I spent the week working in another company and I think it was the saddest part of my career. Working without your closest friends around, every now and then I wished they are still around to have fun while working. Well I guess its just part of the transition and eventually will get used to it. I just hope that I get along with my new colleagues faster than I expect and I find new friends in a newly found second home. Wish me luck guys!

I have had several change of work environment. In order to adapt to any new environment there is a need to make some friends there. Surely there will be some people who may be asking you if you're new, use the opportunity to introduce yourself. I like to be at a new job. I feel excited about it, but I guess hen you get a bit older, you prefer to remain at something you have been comfortable with. I hope I won't become stale...

I hope you don't become stale. lol! I agree that in order to feel at home in a new place would need interaction with others. My co-workers are quite older than me and they talk of things that i am not really aware of. I know somehow, I can get through them and make them my friends. ^_^

There are some older colleagues I totally respect at my previous work place. They are experienced, fast and efficient. Sometimes it's a myth that these generations are slow in their work and could no longer contribute anything of value to the company. From my experience, these are the people you look for when you need help. Make friends with some of them...

I am glad that you made it through it. I know how hard that is to do. I hope your new colleagues will be kind to you. It is so hard to tell these days. Good luck.
